  1. I am finding more and more UPO reps that I have been servicing lately actually have Sellita SW200 movements in them. Been difficult getting parts from my supplier for the SW200 right now as no one has sales rights Sellita parts. Don’t kid yourself about the clone movements. They may look the same and be over oiled, but I have seen a lot of issues with jewel setting, screw heads breaking, reversing wheels being gummed to hell, components being ill manufactured and parts breaking due to sketchy materials. Ever instance I have had with a clone movement failure, I have never seen or expected with a ETA. Until the Chinese start getting some type of QC standard for the clones they are building, the ETA's are superior in materials and overall quality.
  2. I have the 7750 If you would like it. I like these as it is easier to get part numbers for ordering.
  3. Now, if the out rim of diamonds spun...I would be all over it!
  4. A Breitling bracelet, uncomforatble? First time I have ever heard that. Of course, I can see that being true for the rep bracelet as they do not have the curvature at teh clasp that the gens do... You can;t do too much with a red dial. Either black calf or that red hornback you have...too bad Breitling stopped production of the red Ocean Racer. The dial color is hot though! Very nice!
  5. Gens are impossible to come by. I did get a hold of my source and he has some SOSF crowns available with tubes. Just need to know stem size, Tap 8 (1.10mm) or Tap 10 (0.90mm). PM me if you want to know price as I will have to find them out.
  6. I just got a lead on some Breilting Crowns. Got one for HackR's Avenger. Let me see if they have them for the SOSF.
  7. I would only wear it during special occasions like when I am down in the D at a White Castle... Might need to strap another .45 on though when wearing it down there.
  8. Could be that the oil has not had a chance to distribute around the balance staff. I have done it before, where I put oil in the center of the cap and I do not place the cap right in place the first time causing the oil to move to the jewels edge. This was evident on the timer when gravity pulled the balance down to the jewel. The amplitude and timing was off. Looked at the jewel under a loop and could see the oil was not around the balance staff 100%. Reoiled the jewel and the issue went away. 9010 is correct...after a fresh service I will run the watch for a day in different positions before adjusting the timing. Just to let things settle in. I have heard idfferent opinions on this...I just do what works for me. Serviced my gen Pam movement today. Amazed at how its rate and amplitude when almost exact in every position unadjusted.
  9. PM me with you addy. I already have a trimmed 2nd wheel that I can send you. I have no use for it.
  10. Have run into this many of times with reps that I have serviced for members here. The issues is the start/stop two function lever is too short or the angles are off in "v" that engages the chrono cam. Swapping out the 2 function lever with another Asian lever sometimes fixs the issue. Sometimes it does not as the replacement Asian lever is wrong also. I now just recommend spending the $25 for the part and labor to have it swapped out with a Swiss ETA lever. For what you will pay in shipping, wait time etc. you are better of having it fixed locally.
  11. Fish! Fish is a good all around watch. Dress or sport. Seawolf, is too thick to be a dress watch if you are looking for some thing dual purpose. If you want just some ting sporty, then do the Seawolf.
  12. You make that sound like having to go to a AD it is a bad thing.
  13. Did you peg out the balance jewels? Could have a little varnish built up in the jewels causing just enough friction to hold it back until you get more power to it. I did a Gen VC about 4 months ago, with no power on the main spring I rotated the watch 90 degrees, that little movement of the rotor was enough to fire her up. It was amazing. The difference between your run of the mill ETA movements and a movement that has every staff, machined edge, and friction point hand polished to a mirror finish!!! And people wonder why watches cost what they do.
  14. Sign me up for a few (2-3) as well.
  15. Tungsten is extremely expensive to manufacture due to it properties. It is a very hard and dense metal that is also very brittle. You need diamond tipped cutters, grinders or EDM to machine it.
  16. Breitling SA all the way...My wife bought me mine because she absolutly loved the way it looked on me. Anytime we go out, she asks me to wear it...I keep dropping the hint that manybe she needs to check me out in a white faced SA.
  17. He is still moving that right hand all over the place. End fo the day it does not matter as RM would just flip him a new one.
  18. Here is a POS that came into the shop... Here is mine...I am a sucker for Breitling blues.
  19. With what goes into a Tourbillion movement, I would have never figured they can withstand the stresses being exerted on it while playing a sport like tennis.
  20. What is there to contemplate? B01 all the way!
  21. Yes, Typically the saw tooth rotor is on the high beat A7750's. This is a easy mod though to put on the ETA bearing. I just had a chamfer cutter made to the correct angle to machine the rotor and actually install the ETA bearing instead of glueing it on.
