  1. +1, all I use and will use. The cheaper alternative is wear your watch, drink 15 cans of Red Bull, get some glow stick and turn on some techno music!!
  2. Looks like it was built form QC rejects. The nickel plating on the movement bridges appears to be is coming off in places. Inside of the case looks dirty and not on par with gen Swiss watches.
  3. Good point R. Notice the case back on how the gasket is attached to it (Right side) with 7753. There is no ring in the case itself to hold the gasket.
  4. As do I. I am taking my 7753 out of the 188 case and putting it into a old school 196 case as it has a thicker bezel and case back per the Gens. I am thus taking the A7750 out of the old school 196 case and putting it into my current 188 case. The problem being, the 188 case is not as tall as it was designed to fit the 7753 and not A7750. I have been talking with Tanya as he wishes to do the same.
  5. Why did I know Pete was going to be the first to chime in? It is for a Pam 188 case with the ETA7753 movement. The 188 cases are different between the A7750 and 7753 so the case backs are not interchangeable. So, can a display case back, say from a Pam112 fit a Pam188 w/ETA7753 case? If no one knows, the measurement of the thread diameter and overall thickness will give me a good indication. Doing a movement/old school case swap
  6. This chaps my a$$! Here is a loving family with a great dog and they lose him to some BS law created by some brainless law marker that felt these dogs serve only the purpose of being breed to fight or attack. They are in Norway! Not from the ghettoes of Detroit where everyone fears these dogs, because 99% of them are breed to fight! Created a account but same as AmStaff "Petition Closed. Thank you for your interest."
  7. Display Case Back Dimensions HackR and I are working on a Pam movement swap
  8. Not a good mechanical one due to the date complication, not very popular model around here or for Breilting.
  9. Thanks R, now I want another with UTC dial.
  10. Have a local watchmaker? Ask him for one, as he is likely to have hundreds laying around. It is your basic movement holder screw.
  11. Thor, your pic just became my wallpaper….not the one with the watch on your wrist!
  12. Without a doubt buddy they are put on backwards. That are the hand tubes are extra long!
  13. This is not entirely true. The B13 is yes essentially a ETA 7750 movement, but the entire balance, escapement and drive train is all Breilting. Breitling purchases the base ebauches from ETA and installs their own in-house components from mainspring barrel through the balance system. It may look identical but to the trained eye there is a difference. The numbers stamped on the winding bridge are the COSC numbers to track the movement during COSC testing. These number correspond to the numbers on your COSC certificate that come with your new Gen. ling. So yes, Breilting does charge a lot for their watches, but they have a lot of R&D into their in-house components they add to the 7750 movement. Their watches are only getting more expensive as they are getting away from the 7750 for their in-house B01.
  14. Well I found out what the issues was. The impulse stone on the balance was slightly engaged in the pallet fork while dial side down. Dial side up, the stone was just skimming the top of the fork causing the amplitude drop and stoppage. There seems to be a lot of up down play in the balance wheel as well. So, how can this be fixed? My thought was to lower (press towards the dial) the main plate cap & balance jewel housing, this would bring the impulse stone more into the fork. Then lower (press towards the dial) the upper balance cap & balance jewel to reduce the up play in the balance. Still don
  15. My $0.02, if you don;t have at least a 8" wrist, the SA will look goofy on you. People do not realize how big of a piece it is! KS is right though, you can not go wrong with either of them, as they are excellent right out of the box.
  16. No Navi bracelet on your World? You need to change that R!
  17. Chronomt dials are very rear to come buy. Plenty of SA dials, but not some much for the Chronomat.
  18. If you want perfect and are not going to be happy unless it is perfect buy the Gen. If you want close enough and you are buying it for you, then get what is available. But really, I could put the rep and Gen side by side, and you will not know the difference unless you knew what to look for.
  19. Who is offering it to you? Authorized Breitling Dealer, grey market, collector, Joe Blow of the street, on-line, in person, what? Does it come with box and papers? Looks okay, but hard to really tell from one pic. It could be fake with a Gen dial on it. We do that all the time around here. So there is no real definitive way to tell. Breitlings at 50% off retail brand new from ADs is not unheard of, but very very uncommon on this model. The Chronomat is Breitling flagship and most popular model. Other pieces like the Breitling Bentley jump hour you can find for 50%-70% off because they are very poor sellers s no one likes them. Here is what I suggest
  20. Should be no problem for someone who is cable of doing it.
  21. Congrats Hike....Need to start catching up around here!
  22. Man, I need to get one of those on my wrist. I could then just leave my CCW at home and use my watch instead! Thogaa, what size is your wrist?
  23. Pam252 for me. Using a flash to show off the Cobalt dial! Have not decided if I am going to keep it yet
