  1. Jaxa case opener or any 2 jaw opener. I have had great luck with the case opening balls available from Ofrie.
  2. I already PM'd this to The Zigmeister, but I know he is away for some time so I figure I would post this here. I figure it would give those wanting to attempt a A7750 service, what you might expect to go through on these Chinese movements. I have already worked on a variety of ETA 2824's, 2836's, 6497, etc, so I am not a noob under a loop. But these all being ETA movements I have not yet worked on our Asian counterparts. Enjoy and please thrown in your $0.02 to help me get this sorted out. Currently learning to service one of my A7750, 28.8K movements. The movement was running typical A7750 style prior
  3. Great review Lani! The quick and short of it: PVD is a process of applying different coating. Just like CVD (Chemical Vapor Disposition), PLD (Pulse Laser Disposition) and vacuum metalizing. DLC, CTiN, TiN, etc. are all the different types of coating. DLC, I believe there are about 7 variants, us stirckly Carbon that is arranged in different structures that yield different properties. TiCN, has the addition of Titanium, great for wear resistance and hardness, but no good in high temperature applications. I had a friend the ordered a .50Cal Desert Eagle in the TICN finish because it sounded so cool! Man was he [censored] when it arrived! Yep it is pink! TiN has less the Carbon of TiCN, so it is not as hard, but handles high operating temperatures much better. A lot of cutting tools are coated in TiN.
  4. "The B01 has the subdials spaced closer.", was the answer given by BUSA's marketing director while at the B01 Luanch during the RBAR in Detroit, when I possed the question, "Is the subdial layout similar to that of ETA 7753?" I have not been able to do a side by side as I know better then to wear my Pam250 (7753) into a AD. I am sure they could do similar to what they have done with the POC.
  5. The B01 is going to require some heavy modes to A7750 movement due to the subdial spacing. If they want to get it actually 1:1.
  6. Graham as I don't do gold or iced out pieces.
  7. First pic is the real deal. The rest are pics of the pi$$ poor fake. Reported this to Ebay. Do the trust meter and power indicator work in some way?
  8. I am glad they set me straight. I will never be scammed by a fake Pam again!
  9. Nice! Have the exact same one and wearing it now. Love these watches. Looking at a Mark Overload III soon. I would leave the lume as is, it is better then the Gen's actually in terms of quality.
  10. Nope. World only comes in Stainless w/ Blue, Black & Silver dial or 18K Rose Gold in Black dial only.
  11. Post some pics. How much did you pay for it? $80K-$120K is the going rate for these depending on the model.
  12. This one showed up at the shop today becasue the bezel and crystal fell off. The owner also wondered why it stopped working all together. Wonder why?
  13. +1 Going to order a hand press from Offshore very soon.
  14. These felt tips can leave the ridges Lani was referring to. To remove deep scratches use a spiral sewn or sisal buffing wheel as these provide cutting action. Move the piece against the direction of the wheel. For the final buff, or periodic buffing, use a loose cotton wheel as these are the softest. Move the piece with the direction of the wheel. Typically I use white rouge on a spiral sewn wheel to remove scratches then finish off with green rouge on a loose cotton wheel, which is the polish. For any swirl marks, I will wet the piece I am working on, hit it with talc powder and lightly work with a loose cotton wheel. I even us talc by hand after I do a quick buff with a Cape Cod. Remember, that each rouge should have its own wheel to prevent issues. Only on my RVT RC's! Honda no longer makes this polish. The formula was bought by Next Dimension (Back around '07) and they sell in under "Original Spray & Polish"
  15. Batons should be 2 pieces and the lume markers at 3,6,9 are wrong. There should also be space between the baton marker tips and the subdial rings. Wings also look too big.
  16. Novus #2&#3 plastic polish work great too. Enough to cut through AR quick, but not enough to cut into the crystal, bezel or case.
  17. Well Hack, you know we have already talked about this piece as I love my ChronoDiver. Think I am going to get one now. After picking up your Pam of course! I need to stop talking to you, you are a bad influence on me! Well so is the rest of this board.
  18. Did you not just get a SA BS?
  19. It had me with the Carbon Fiber! I know what I am getting very shortly!
  20. She was the one feeling bad! She is going to feel even worse when she sees the rock I got to go around her neck! Maybe I should have gotten a thicker chain for her. You know, one that can handle the stress of tightening!
  21. +1. The complications on this piece far exceed what the A7750 can do. I did try a Gen on over the weekend. Nice piece, but the rubber coating on the bezel seems like it will tear with one good encounter with a sharp surface. Seemed very thin and felt like you could tear it with your finger nail.
  22. Oh I am getting the shaft from the wife now wanting to wait to give it to me on our wedding day (Already married, but doing the big church wedding next month) as a wedding gift to wear that day. Kind of fine by me as I had to her pursuing some of the lower end Pams over the weekend!
  23. Can't stand the so called" watch companies that copy designs! Right up there with Invicta copying the Rolex Sub.! Rather own a rep then a wannabe!
