Good question. Maybe Z can chime in as I he would be the one with a watchmakers tap & die set. Can you measure the Diameter of the treads on the pin? This should tell you. Here is the link to Ofrei. Of course I would not doubt this is some bastardized size.
I would know it is real because it is my watch.
I might be suspicious, but it would be difficult to use as a "tell" to be rep or not. Even upon close inspection of the lume quality, it is getitng harder to tell. Heck, there are some watches out there that the factory rep lume applied quality is better then the gens. Graham's are case in point.
I have had my gens relumed to non gen specs. I happen to like the intensity of the newer lume technology. Z just finished up a vintage gen dial for me. I asked for C3 and that is what he gave me. I did the hands with C5. As I own the piece, I will have it lumed the way I see fit, rep or gen. I would absolutly say, "No, it is not a rep tell".
Absolutly love Mont Source Products. Have been using them for over 15 years. The Unique Shave solution is truly amazing. 1 bottle last me over a year. Not a foam or cream, but a oil like loation that cools your face while you shave. Never had as close of a shave using other products as I do with this! Mont Source
I would think so too. I just see a movement with this much complication and mods made to the A7753, being a time bomb. The DW would be sunken through the case back.
Are these fully functional automatics? Sec. @ 3, 30 sec. chrono, etc.? I know there are Bentley reps out there with functional 30 sec. chronos, but I don't think anyone around here has ever gotten one.
I beg the watch gods for this! White face with blue hands is so nice!
Great pics Pete! How do you like the Bentley GMT? The black face version should be on my wrist in T Minus 18 days...
Would you like 6,9,12 or 3,6,9 sub dial layout? Is it alright if the prices is half that of the website above?
I will take my Bentley in the form of a Continental Supersport in Dark Sapphire and Single Tone-Hotspur Interior.
I have to wear a slightly baggy shirt with my .38 Super 1911 due to the slightly wider frame. It is a rail frame, so pulling it can be a bit of a hell some times. More of a race gun, hence why I am building the .45 1911 I have pictured. Commander model so 4.25" barrel. They are nice to carry due to how slim they are. Bob-tail the frame and it is very well concealed.
The XD.40 is a great gun. I have the XDM and have carried it. A little bulky, but nice to have 15rds. Does yours have the mag. safety?
That I could not tell you. I am the wrong guy for that knowledge. I do not find myself getting tied up in the minor inaccuracies or changes between the versions. If I like the piece I will get it, if I really like it and worry about the accuracy I buy the Gen.
Andreww or HackR might be able to better comment.
BCE's go well for dress as well as with a pair of jeans and t-shirt. More dress with a leather or croc strap, then the bracelet, but the Pilot bracelet is pure class IMO.
Enough is never enough. When I really feel I need it, I will carry my 1911 in .38 Super with dual stack mag. If I can not hit my target with 18 rounds.......
Due to my bear paws for hands, I could never handle the compact for carry. Always had to go full frame.
