  1. That's one of the best threads I ever red. The humour here in this topic is great. I will rate it right now. Even though diferrent , the nswers here have the same level of fun as the "thin red line" thread.
  2. That's really a great topic !!!! Some good opinions have expressed here on this. I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. One exterme: If you social and income status is such that you can affort the real deal, people will not question what are you wearing (.... to that extend I gree with Eye.Surgeon). Even when they see you everyday with a different watch (..my case ), they will accept your hobby and they will start asking you about rep watches and where they can find some good ones etc.... The other extreme: If you are a 20 year old student or similar (... not coming from a very rich family) and people they see you everyday with a different watch then of course the whole thing is crying for "... here I am wearing my replicas" and people they will think that you are trying to pretend things that you are not. ( ) So is really up to you guys to decide where in between these two extremns you want to stand. So my advise and personal opinion is that: - if your life allows to buy good genuine watches, buy as many reps as you like and its ok if you wear a different one every day. - If your life style is nearer to that you should have "other priorities in life", then buy one or two max good reps and stay with these. People can always guess that is a kind of a present. BTW: What's wrong with a 6 years old 325 ? Its a great car. Cheers, AMK000
  3. Second mail send to KEN (Etaworldgoods) and again no reply. I give up I wonder why these guys advertise thehselves here when they do not even bother look their e-mail boxes. Starnge business. !!!!
  4. Bastards ... that's what they are. Glad you are ok .... and you wife was right. Doesnt worth it (....God, It would have been great feeling to kick their butts).
  5. Well ..... paying with CC over the net is not a very clever thing to do. Many of the CC cards (Visa , Master Card etc..) they will not refund your money back in case of a fraud or stolen cc number. In other words you are not cover for internet payments if something goes wrong. At least that's the way it is in my part of the world ... and I guess in all countries in Europe. The only CC that does that - gives you net protection (even on its simplest and cheapest version - BLUE) is AMEX.
  6. If am not mistasking two more dealers other than Narikka are carrying exactly the sama watch. All of them with Venus movement and all of them with the same fault. Subdilas are too high up. On the gen, the subs are between 3 and 5 and 9 and 7. Pic of gen http://www.orologi.it/articoli/183/lange-file/oro_119_1.jpg
  7. @ cwai02: Great watch and great pics. May be is the pic itself or me being a bit picky , but on the last two pics where you can see that date window under an angle , is there a small gap ?? (looks a bit whiter on the left part of the window). Sorry for asking this but I want to get the same watch myself so I would like to know if its OK. BTW: From which dealer you got the Sub ??
  8. Well ... so far no reply from Ken. He is not checking e-mail very often !!
  9. @ sevomd Great watch. Few questions if you dont mind: - Is the power reserve working ?? (forget this one , EL says yes) - Has the crystal any AR coating ??? If not is it very reflective ??
  10. I will update this post with input from Ken when available.
  11. Robert , It seems that Watchhonpo has a new one listed (I think better version). http://shopping.e-conveni.net/item_info.ht...ucts_id=823123& Ive mailed KEN (Etaworld) to found out more about it. ..... and yes the date mag is an ussue with the subs.
  12. Thanks Savage. @ robertk: I think that I will go for the regatta too.
  13. Guys , What do you think about the PAM 199 that some dealers already carry (EG: KING and Watchhonpo). Any comments ?? Also a question: Is the the bezel of the gen Shined or brushed ??? (the reps seems to be brushed). Here is a pic of a gen (scroll down , second watch) .... looks bezel is shined but can really tell. http://images.google.es/imgres?imgurl=http...6lr%3D%26sa%3DG Thanks
  14. The one pointed by Cwai is one of the best. Get though with venus movement because thatValjoux one stilkl has the subdials bit apart. Ask also Ubi. He is a lover of vintage Rlx's.
  15. The Panerai "Derma" strap. Nice piece Kostas.
  16. Good observation. He stopped selling watches at TRC at that time. Some also said that he sold his business, so maybe this site belongs to somebody else. EDITED: Definately watchstation is not Jackie .... maybe I am/was wrong and the watchstation (second link I provided was also mentioned at TRC as Jackie) was never him.
  17. Last post from Jacky Chen on TRC: http://www.replicacollector.com/members/in...topic=6687&hl=# He was also used to call himself WATCHSTATION http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y209/watchstation/
  18. Jacky has stopped selling watches since late 04 or early 05 (you can find more info on him on TRC). He used to sell both ETA and asian movements. Is this the watch you plan to sell ?? http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/watchnet77/d...0aa.jpg&.src=ph http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/watchnet77/d...ce3.jpg&.src=ph ..... if yes, can you provide a pic of the movement ??? Assuming that this is the watch and it is in mint on near mind condition(aprox 3 years watch), you can expect to sell it at: ASIAN ETA(2892 or 2824) : 110 - 130 USD STD ASIAN: 60 to 80 USD ETA (2892 or 2824) new , sells for about 150 to 160 USD (see Aspire or Trusty) ASIAN new, sells for 100 to 110 USD (see Aspire or Trusty). If the condition of the watch is average , then reduce above prices by 20 USD. Of course this is only my opinion, hear others as well.
  19. Thank you all guys. I thought that the Green/Black was a fantasy one and now all of you have confirmed it. I think (...but I am not sure) that I have saw somewhere a gen in SS version with black bezel and green subdial.
  20. YES. Thanks Randy and thanks Alfa and Chronus. Guys , do you know if the black bezel/green dial has been produced in SS version or is only on Gold ??? In other words, is this fantasy or a gen exist for this ??? http://www.trustytime.com/index.php?main_p...products_id=605 If it does, any comments on it ??? Thanks
  21. @ Chronus , thanks fo the info. I did though tried Timezone and Basilea. I could only found there the Black bezel/black dial (rest gold) and the diamonds and perls ugly rollies they presented there. Basically the reason that I am asking for pics of the gen new GMT II, is because I dont remember and want to find out if the new one comes with Green Bezel and black dial or is the other way around (black bezel and green dial).
  22. Guys , I am looking for pics (or link) of the new RX GMT II - black /green (2006 model). There were some pics on the old RWG but cant find any here Tried the RX official site ... not easy to navigate there (zero usability) ... couldnt find anything. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
  23. Happy bday. BTW , at your age you should be out with friends , meeting girlies and having fun. More out and less forums ..... you have time for that when you are 40 .... and by that time I am sure that the ultimate PO will be here.
