  1. well guys, you obviously don't really follow what is happening on the vintage market. Military Subs, especially if you can see that they've been used in action, are worth good 5-6 figures.. I've recently seen a PN Dial to be sold for 65k CHF
  2. Hi guys, My TAG Carrera Tachymetre from Andrew arrived today. Works great and looks even better, but it still needs some mods. I want to replace the Date Wheel with the gen 7750 Date Wheel. I searched at O.Frei, but couldn't find it. Would one of these ones work, too? I have one issue with the watch that really bothers me: the bezel is misalligned by appr. .5mm. It's not much, I know, but it still hits me, everytime I look at the watch. There's also good news about this Carrera. The repmakers obviously improved the movement decoration since the first version came out. There is more decoration on the movement, not just on the rotor. I'll post some pics, when there's some time. greetz, squareS
  3. thanks for the comments guys yup, works pretty well as caseback-opener, just press and turn, don't worry about scratching anything. And this "tool" is just about $3 for 3 of 'em
  4. Hi guys, I took some pictures of my Marina Militare / PAM Hommage and the movement in it. Since I didn't want to have a rep which says Panerai on it, I ordered this beauty through "helenarou" on eBay. It has the Asian 6497 with Swan Neck in it, nice "engine" to carry around on your wrist. But enough of the talk, let's get started.. First some pics of the dial CG and lever The back My caseback-opener After applying the high-tech opener Looks nice, let's take a closer look.. Zooooommmm.. Alright, that's about it for today.. Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoyed it
  5. i think it was simply "squareS", but I can't really remember, it was in 2004. I wasn't a big contributor back then, too.
  6. LOL.. i might be new here, but since I spend way too much time on boards of any kind I'm kinda familiar with those issues ..edit: wohhh.. took me three minutes to get that sentence straight.. i should go to bed.. it's closing in on 3 am here.
  7. In nearly every board, political/religious discussions are not allowed due to the potential fights about this.. Short look at the board rules and there you go.. I'd say, that's why. [6] - Anything discussions regarding politics and/or religion in anyway will be closed or deleted unless determined to be pertinent by admins/mods.
  8. Hi guys, Been around here for some weeks, but didn't post anything yet. I've been on this board a couple of years ago, had a Sub back then. I bought it from Abay.. i think Abay was Paul, who is now Pam111.. Since then I owned Seikos for the most time, since I wanted to have good mechanical watches that fit me more than a Sub. In January, when I joined here again, I was mostly looking for a good PO rep.. I really like the looks of the PO and bought it from Andrew then. Right now I'm thinking of selling it again, it's a good watch, but I didn't really make friends with it, so it doesn't get a lot of wrist time. My next purchase will most likely be a Tag Heuer Carrera, just fell in love with this beauty. Long time goal for a little (gen) collection: Speedmaster Moonwatch, the new GMT Ceramic and some dress watch, like the newer Datejusts. Since I graduate in a couple of months, I'll hopefully be able to start this collection soon Thanks for reading, squareS
