If I may throw in my 2 cents. When I see the new designs, I don't get the same feelings for them as compared to the old simpler models. I am just guessing that they are trying to pack more functions and features into the new designs which kinda make them lose a little of their identity in my opinion... Yep, it should be a gen. I had this topic up at RG as well. Seems like vintage/non applied models have 'happy feet'. What's next is why is the 600 not repped since the 1200 has been repped? I can only speak for myself, but my interest in vintages is steadily increasing after spending time on the forums. So having a vintage 600 as a base for vintagising should be an interesting project wouldn't you say? Chuan

Hi Omega fans, I spotted this Ploprof on MWR's PX. Listed by a well known collector/mod on WUS (i think it's the same guy?). What strikes me is the Omega logo on the dial. Check it out here: Seems like there is a 'happy feet' syndrome. Not sure if it's a rep because the 'happy feet' in the rep logo looks different (thicker feet i believe). But being listed by a mod from WUS, I'm inclined to believe it's gen. Not looking to buy it, but just interested to get your thoughts. Cheers, Chuan

Hi PAMman, any idea where to get the 6497-2? From what i gather, it is now only produced for special brands like Panerai? I've tried looking at Ofrei and Cousins, but no dice for 6497-2.

I believe there are no replicas of the marathon sar watches. They are in the sub 1k range except for the CSAR. Doubt that there ever will be a replica of these watches. You can look at the sale section of Watchuseek and you might pick up a used sar for the price of a pretty good rep! Hope it helps
