  1. Wow, nice! Enjoy.
  2. Thanks for the info guys!
  3. Would anyone be kind enough to post a link to PT's site? Thanks in advance.
  4. Ok, I gotta ask now. Who's PT???
  5. Thanks for that Jbond. I couldn't think of which movie it was, but I did remember reading about it. I was really surprised that so many Seiko's have been used in Bond movies though. Great stuff!
  6. That's some serious hardware. Makes me "almost" wish I'd held out for the diver version. Enjoy!
  7. I used to have a gen SMP quartz for my daily beater and IMHO you just can't go wrong. It's also a great plus to have a quartz in your collection as they're ready to go at a seconds notice. I always appreciated the fact that I had a great watch that can go and do everything that never needed to be manually wound or needed to be kept on my winder, which is always crowded. I think you made a great choice. Enjoy.
  8. Thanks for the great post. I think you forgot one though. The Seiko divers' watch, commonly referred to as the "Darth tuna" 1000m auto. I can't remember which movie it was featured exactly, but I recall reading something about it and seeing some pics too.

    My PO

I was looking at the pics really hard and then at mine on my wrist. I'm no expert, but I was just thinking... man that's either a gen or an awsome rep! I sincerely hope nothing was taken and nobody was hurt sssurfer.
  10. Welcome Bob. You might want to check the dealers section of this forum where you'll find all the dealers. Good luck.
  11. Welcome FF. You might want to get in touch with Admin for the answers to your questions.
  12. Like CC said above. Here in SoCal Pam's are dime a dozen, especially since they've been "in" fashion here for some time. At a bar you see so many they just fade into a blurr.
  13. From what I know you'd be better off with the 127 "fiddy". It's well liked and there are many around. It's not that the 187's aren't around, but I've heard that they're far from the gen. So I suspect that you'd have a better time with the 127 if you're looking to get it as close to the gen as possible. Good luck.
  14. Glad to hear the good news The Zigmeister! Now rest up and get better.
  15. Was at a bar Wed. night and this guy, who said he was a lawyer, had on a GMT Pam. I'm sorry I don't know which model it is. Looked really nice. From what I could tell it was a gen., but I can't confirm as I didn't get a close look.
  16. Personally I'd get the PO Chrono. The Omega is a better watch, IMO. You'll have to decide, but the Oris is a much bigger watch and much thicker too. I've had a 47mm Oris and although you could, it doesn't double as a board room watch all that well as it struggles to fit under your cuff. The PO on the other hand does anything and goes anywhere so I'd go for the PO. Funny thing is I did. I still have my PO (non-chrono), but the Oris is gone. Good luck. I honestly don't think you could loose with either.
  17. This is making me want to wait to see how this all turns out. Good luck all.
  18. Welcome to the forum.
  19. Welcome! If you're gf is already on that trip you might want to line up a few replacements before you get into this hobby.
  20. It isn't a rep, but have you looked into Invicta's? They have lots of models and have a few that are either ceramic or plastic/glass. Good luck.
  21. Welcome James.
  22. I have to say "the people" too. I mean after you spend some time here you get a sense of people's individuality and personalities. These come through in posts and I get a kick out of reading what everyone has to say, good or bad.
  23. Wow! My hats off to all of you guys.
  24. Man just when you "think" you've got this hobby down they throw you a curve ball while you're still sucking on that crack pipe!!!
  25. Hi!
