Working on a 6265 Franken project, had a couple questions for the experts here.
First off is the bezel, I have 2, wondering which one is more accurate. First 2 are of what I will call Bezel A, the second 2 are of Bezel B. I included the 60 and 110 markers as these seem to be the biggest tells. Apologies for the mediocre photography skills!
Finally is an old case I have lying around, I believe from DW. Just want to make sure it will fit a VJ movement based on visual inspection.
Thanks guys!

Wanted members' opinions on this dial, looks like a 6240 vj72 dial for a Franken project I am working on. Looks to be a rare variant with Cartier stamp (Rolex sold through the Cartier store in New York for a short time in the 60s, there are a few floating around but they are like hen's teeth). I like the style of it, just wanted to hear what the experts think. Thanks!

Martin-- who do you think posted it there? And what is the problem with that?

Lots of information here on how the industry works.
I used Chrome to translate.

Thanks, thought so. They sure are hard to find!

I am considering a Franken Ap Offshore build using a spare LWO movement. Will a rep dial work on that or do I need to buy a gen dial?

my own:
Gen dial, hands, pushers, bezel, bracelet, Phong case, VJ72 engine

I am trying to purchase a watch however am in the USA, not germany, and they will not allow me to join and contact the seller. Any German members here who can lend a hand? I could arrange a payment for acting as an intermediary... Thanks!

Where can you get a NOS dial for €1000??

I have, after much time, effort, and $ finally acquired the pieces for my dream build, a silver-dialed v72 6263. I have a local watchsmith to put it all together but would prefer one of our esteemed board members with horologic experience.
Can anyone who has done this kind of thing recommend a builder for this project?

Nice! Did you place your order the day it was offered? I ordered the second day, trying to figure out how much more I need to wait...

Anybody with connections know if this is possible? I wonder if AP is aware of the increased quality and accuracy of our reps and is doing a clear case back in response...
The new model has a ceramic bezel and pushers. Very nice.

Nice work Freddy. I need to do the same for one of mine, what kind of sandpaper did you use? What grit? Thanks.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good tutorial for swapping Pam crowns?
Thanks!!

I too am interested...
but starting to get doubtful without pics.

Unfortunately due to my clumsy ways I knocked my wrist against a doorframe and there's a small, but visible and annoying dent in the outer edge of my ROO bezel.
I don't know if it's me, but the stainless seems soft in this watch.
Any ideas on how to fix it?

I just got a beautiful ROO Safari and am killing myself trying to put an OEM band onwithout success.
What am I doing wrong? Is this even possible?

Very slick...
Also interested in the strap dealer.

Even if this is the so called "lite version" I found the HBB to be one of the best (if not the best) rep received out of the box. I mean from the quality and finishing point of view. I paid some watches much more expensive, which had a disappointing level for the price.
The HBB is definitely one of the winner for 2007.
The black Magic has just been released as a lite version. Good alternative.
Do you know who has the black magic "lite"?

Putting on a PAM is like coming out of the closet. Real men wear Breitling.
Flame away...
yes... john travolta, breitling spokesman, is as straight as they come...

indeed... if only they could make the numers a bit thicker it would be pretty damn near perfect.
i hope our dealers can offer this soon....
