  1. BTW.. I have showered with this watch and dunked it in water-- taking one for the team-- and it passed. I will go swimming with it next. Pretty good for the price, eh. The quality and feel far surpases any comparable $120 watch (gen or rep) out there. If it were up to me I'd get it in every color and combination. The watch is stunning. This is one of my grail watches so I am in love with it
  2. -Bought at www.Hontwatch.com: Not a trusted dealer here I think, but the communication and transaction was flawless. From what I hear he doesn't dropship -The AR is suprisingly good. I don't think there is a need to change it. -The PR works perfectly and the watch charges in no time. Hope this helps answer your questions.
  3. This is not a review, but a quick look at some pics I took today of the Ulysse Nardin Maxi Chronometer 43mm. While it's not 1:1, it is surely a stunning piece and for the $120+ S/H I paid to Hont far exceeded my expectations--BTW he was a pleasure to deal with. Now here it is: Wristies:
  4. I want to suggest an idea for a new super Rep-- a Rep of a Rep. Here it goes: "Marie-Antoinette watch 08/04/2008 After three and a half years, a dream comes true for Nicolas G. Hayek as Breguet unveils its replica of the pocket watch made for France
  5. top 10 things I love about rep watches --in no particular order: 1. Chinese kids making watches that taken horologist years to perfect and months at times to assemble. 2. Anticipating the release of a new watch. 3. Getting packages wrapped in Chinese tape. 4. Doing the forbidden.. both illegal at home because it is condemned by my wife and the government. 5. Seeing how close they get to the gen stuff. 6. Learning about watches that never fancied me, but now I actually kinda like (e.g., Rolex). 7. learning about movements. 8. Knowing that I am not alone. 9. Admiring the seriousness and dedication that some board members have toward the hobby. 10. Being addicted to something that is not self destructive (most of the time:))
  6. Well, folks just jumped on this baby and order it from Hont and will review once it arrives:
  7. Take a look at timezone..I have seen plenty of these and the contrast from regular pics is not that great.. These AD pics tend to be photoshopped.. I think that this rep is fantastic. The only big tell is the caseback, but honestly, how many people are going to be looking at caseback, but you when you are bored sitting on the toiler pushing that big load I think that the Maxi Chrono 43.5mm is very accurate. Compare to a gen pic: AND THEY SHOULD REP THIS NEXT:
  8. I am sorry but this is a superrep and whomever begs to differ is smoking something. I have seen pics of the Blue Surf on Timezone and I am really impressed. FYI, I read from one of the post over at timezone that the lume fades really fast on the gens. For the price, this must be classified as a superrep in my book. I want to purchase the Maxi Diver Chronometer 43mm, which also looks extremely well made. Kudos to our Chinese friends!!!
  9. I am FM Totally Crazy for the rest of the week.. My new baby from Josh..
  10. Chris this question is for you: when will this new batch be available?
  11. Fortunately for NOW I work in the IT/Healthcare business and we are business as usual. However, I am truely concerned since our generation has yet to experience such events; Gen X/Y especially. The correlations to the Great Depression are eerie, although I think being way hyped by the media; and this has exacerbated fear-- fear and financial markets are a sad and catastrophic combination. I am not sure that the G-7 will make it any better and I see us headed to over 30% losses in the Dow and S&P (adding to the already 40% loss peak to trough) by the time we are done. This will enter the books as a mild-moderate depression or, at the very least, a long lasting recession (at least a 2 year one). Folks, this is global and way bigger and more complicated than anything seen before..IMHO.. Sorry for the words of optimism...I sound gloomier than Nouriel Roubini...I am buying plenty of non-perishables just in case. Now, back to...who has the best sub?!? Honestly, we'll be fine in the long run. I assure you that our priorities will shift for the better. Materialism will wane and spirituality will guide us thru--fyi, I am not a religious person at all. I think that events like this, although hard to swallow especially if you lost your job or large sums of money, are necessary. These are necessary moral re-alignments that I believe are healthy. Many were taken and consumed by great levels of greed. Hopefully those that took advantage of others will get thier dues..Karma, guilt, jail, whatever.. Remember yourself and your loved ones... they [hopefully] love you more than money, cars, big homes, nice watches (replica or real)... Peace..
  12. I just feel like another "Joe six pack" there..
  13. Very appalling.. how could they, no how dare they...I am completely shocked... I had no idea that such morally corrosive material was permitted to permeate the fraternalistic halls of RWG1...Shamefull..
  14. All I want is the perfect Sub....
  15. Wow!! And you still have a job with the new landlord!! Good luck and stop trading up them barrels!!
  16. Wonder what's going on.. I tried Josh, Andrew, Repgeek, and RWG1 and all are down.. That is way too fishy..
