Personally, I love it and I'm just waiting for it to come out with a black or dark blue face. I like the rubber strap, it's just the titanium sections against the SS that bothers me. The rose gold version is excellent from the top, they just need to do the rotor in gold as well. I'm hoping for a V2 version on that one -

One of the reasons Rolex gets questioned so much, ironically, is Rolex's well known anti-counterfeit campaign. All those "How to spot a fake Rolex" articles and websites have people always on the lookout for fakes. Everybody has heard about the $20 fake Rolexes on Canal street. The only watch I ever get "called out" on is a Gen Submariner, usually two or three times a year. The fake Breitlings and MontBlancs always get a pass.

I'm slated to play Satan in an upcoming local musical, and I figured the Devil would wear some kind of fabulously flashy, gaudy big bling watch. It doesn't have to be accurate, just really loud and flashy - Any suggestions?

I would have to agree - plus it's been a loooong time since a new PP rep came out, and discussion of new watches is a mainstay in the other groups.

I take exactly the opposite tack - whatever I'm wearing I say "I bought it for $20 from a guy on Canal Street" Then they say "I dunno - looks pretty nice for a fake, I think you're bullshitting me" Then I just agree with them, and say I was just joking. I was joking, too - I got it for $300 from Angus in China. But by now they've convinced themselves it's a Gen, and I don't argue about that.

Angus may not be the fastest, but he's very reliable - If something goes wrong I'm sure he'll make it right, be it customs problems or a problem with the watch. He won't let you down.

To be honest, I got into reps because Rolex is always talking about how excellent the fakes are and how to spot them - and I figured if Rolex is so worried about them they must be pretty good - It was a while before I realized anyone repped other watches. Now Hublot is doing the same thing on their website. The rep industry owes a lot to Rolex. They talk about fakes so much people ask if my gen submariner is fake all the time - in fact, I get asked that about my gen sub more than my rep GMT IIc!

Don't worry, it's not at all unusual for tracking numbers to not work for several days, and sometimes the package arrives when the tracking system says it's still in PRC. Tracking is not an exact science, especially international Especially with EMS. Don't sweat it, it will arrive -

The only problem is that neither watch bears more than a passing resemblence to the actual JLC Doumetre- More likely the rep maker that makes the JCL replica also sells it under the Ingersol label
