MBW accept gen crystals
-
i mean to put varnish on the inside....just to make crown less visible on ssd crystal
-
Have someone ever tried to put some varnish with a fine needle on the crystal's etched crown ? then it would be fair to clean the excess varnish with a wool cloth.

wm pearl has metal yellowy like a 2 tone part

the rehaut of rollie ssd needs to be polished ?
is good to use 3m scotch-brite pad on it ?
thanks

To relume rolex ssd DIAL with superluminova c1, it's necessary to get off all the old lume inside the markers ? Or it's better to add superluminova c1 on the old lume ?
HANDS are to be washed in acetone or nitro solvent to remove the old lume ?

Watchmaterial pearl metal is yellowy (seems like a spare part of a 2tone rollie), and rep insert needs to be shaved...better a gen insert.
It's better to upgrade crown and tube.. they broke quickly because of poor metal used in rep.
Another fine mod is relume with superluminova c1.

SuperLuminova BG W9 is -white- at the sun and -green- in the dark ?
Is good for a Rolex SeaDweller ?

Anyone know what the thread size is (see picture). My gen like tube snaped off flush with the case and I am going to have to drill and tap new threads.
according to this page
http://www.horologist.com/rolex_crown.htm
the correct size is 3,00 x 3,00... but seems that it's difficult to find a tap with that size.
If you find it let me know

The aftermarket tube does not fit in without modifications. You will need to drill out the case a bit. Check out my Test-Special to see what I mean.
have you only drilled, or you have tapped too ? if is necessary to tap the hole what number of thread is to use ?

Yes indeed and i know were you got them from
Congratulations i didn't want to go further then ..... ( you know which amount )

what is the right price for this gen set (crown + tube) ?

Here you see a V1 in comparsion to a gen after I modded the CG's and install a gen inlay. But there are still big failures on it:
the ssd2 is a rep of seadweller 4000 that has a different genuine insert than the previous model (look at 4)
i suppose than also the other details have to be compared to this version

I agree. The amount of heat required to bend the pillar plate would have charred the dial/hands to oblivion. This thing suffered some type of blunt force trauma. It may have been worn by someone who was sitting at the point of impact during a high-speed automobile accident or plane crash.
according to this italian site http://orologi.forumfree.net/?t=27826719&st=0
it seems that rolex in ginevra crushes calibers that are not genuine....because someone has replicated rolex calibers
