  1. Thanks for the heads up on George Yoon on Pitt St.

I've used the guy at Watch & Clock in Neutral Bay for a couple of minor things (dial touch-up and re-glue lume that fell off).  He won't do servicing though.

MarrickvilleBoy on RWG spends some of his time in the US and some in Sydney and will work on your reps when he's home.

  2. I am having a similar problem, but don't understand "then stop and reverse the winding crown just enough to reset the date in the middle of the date window" of your instructions. When I reverse the winding crown all that happens is the GMT hand moves, the date never re-centers as you describe. Help? Thanks in advance.

When you pull out the crown one click it will be in the GMT/date setting position. Turning the crown anti-clockwise moves the GMT hand. Do this to set it to the correct time. Then turn the crown back very slowly in the other direction (clockwise) - just until the date starts to move. Then stop! and push the crown in. You should then be OK.

If this doesn't work, try doing setting the GMT, then do the small date move trick, and then pull out the crown all the way. After that push the crown in.

Dachshund's date move trick worked a treat for me!

  3. Hi guys

I'm a newbie and am after some advice. I've done a lot of reading on this site and am constantly amazed by the amount of information on here!

I recently got my first rep, a white Explorer II, from one of the trusted dealers. When I got it I noticed two problems, one a mark on the bezel that was quite noticeable when the light caught it the right way. The other was that the second R in EXPLORER on the face was not written correctly. I contacted the dealer who provided excellent service - he apoligised and asked me to send it back to get fixed.

I've now got the watch back. The bezel has been polished up and now looks great. The face hasn't been touched.

Am I being too picky or is this something that I should follow up on?

    Thanks!

  4. Hey Guys n Gals,

Just wondering if anyone has any contacts or watchsmiths in Sydney that they can point me to to get a 2836 fixed (messed up the keyless works). Pretty frustrating but i guess you learn from your mistakes right <_<

I asked Marrickvilleboy already but he isnt back from the US til May and i cant wait that long.

    Thanks

I've used a guy in the city to get my gen Tag serviced.

He did a good job and the price was OK.

Not sure if he'll do reps but it would be worth asking to check!
