Miss Understood. Where has your lovliness been? Long time no see. Usil
  3. What By-Tor said. If you go for the Super Ocean, which is a fantastic watch - you won't be dissapointed. But, several, me included, have noted that the small screws that hold the links on arrived loose when we recieved the watch. No problem as long as you know this and do something about it immediately. You can get a small screw drivers set from Radio Shack for a few bucks if you don't already have one. After you resize the bracelet for your wrist, remember this is a bracelet so do not make this too tight and it is best to do this in the evening when your wrist is larger, carefully remove each screw, apply Loc-Tite to the screws (the kind that allows for removal if needed in the future), and reinstall screwing each back tightly. The Loc-Tite will dry and the screws will then not accidentally loosen while you wear the watch. Make sure you clear your desk to do this and I always put a plain piece of white paper under the watch and bracelet (I fold a 1/2 inch lip around the edge of the paper to raise the edges to prevent the screws from accidentally rolling away. Along with tiny screw drivers, you will need tweezers to pick up and place the screws into place. Hope all this helps. Usil
  4. Oh, Yeah. I forgot about the little jewlers hammer I had to use too on one of them. Usil
  5. It is the PO bracelet that everyone has trouble sizing and not the Super Ocean. The Breitling, is easy once you understand that 2 screws need to be removed to remove a link. The PO has pins that are very tight. I have sized 2 PO bracelets and have not had issues but I had the tools to do it. Without the tools there is no way you can do it. I used 2 different pin tools, the first one had a thicker pin and I used this to start the removal process. But the thicker pin removal tool is too short to push it all the way out so I used a second that was longer. Even then I needed pliars to remove the pin the final distance and you must be careful to pull straight up or you can break the pin. It's a bugger to do. Usil
  6. 'furniture' - that is the truth. My wife and I bought 'survival' furniture during the teeage years. No way were we buying the good stuff. Usil
  7. Interesting. Where did you get the new dial? And how are the dials attached? How do you remove them on PAM's? Usil
  8. Welcome to the forum. Spend lots of time reading and when you are totally confused ask us a quesiton. Usil
  9. While the Bentley and Navitimer look similar they are very different watches in terms of size and weight. The Bentley 30's model is massive while the Nivitimer is much smaller and weighs less. I like and have both. I lean towards the Bentley as a favorite as I have grown to like larger watches. Usil
  10. I am never going to complain about sizing a bracelet again. Usil
  11. What a great graduation gift to your self. I think I had a Timex at your age. One word about college. I never had a job as tough as what I experienced in college but it was worth every bit of my time and energy (got a BS in Zoology). Strangely, most of the people I know who went to college and got good jobs, the fact that they went to college was more important than what classes they took or even their grades. It was just the price of getting into the door and sitting down for the interview. Usil

    Heros

Living in Paris I am downloading the episodes as soon as torrents are available. I find the series intriguing and just hope it doesn't go lame at the end. Does the series end this year or will it continue next year? Usil
  14. That is one sweet watch. Looks like it might be bright. Can you do a lume shot? Wear it well. Usil
  15. Don't go for the faux complications on a cheaper rep. Just don't waste your money. I know the temptation is great to jump in and get one quickly to fill the urge but I suggest the following. Hold in there, the choices you list are good ones and once you see a quality rep of these two watches, they will blow you away. The evolution is the new model and prices are still high. I suggest going for the Navitimer as it is a classic and very distinctive. Check out all the 'collectors' in the forum menu section and email or PM for prices if they are not listed. When you find the one you want for the price you can pay - go for it. Next best thing is to ask if anyone has a used rep they want to get rid of for a good price. Many reps are bought but rarely worn and someone may have one at a good price. Good luck. Usil
  16. Hats off to you for a great job. Very exacting. I had no idea of what was needed for this. Usil
  17. This is really strange not to keep at least one watch to hold you over this period. I have about 20 watches I am going to be getting rid of in the future but will keep my core beauties. But, best of luck in the future for you and yours. Usil
  18. I don't live in Ireland but I want to visit there someday. Usil
  19. Keep on - keeping on. The calories you burn and consume must be enormous. Do you loose weight on these trips? A 2 pound hamburger - my god that is enormous. Good luck on the next leg of your trip. Usil
  20. I am definitely not liking what I am hearing on this new rep. I think that using a dealer that hand inspects the watches for major defects before he sends it off is the way to go for such an expensive rep. I prefer the dealer to send the bad ones back rather than my getting involved in the whole mess. It is worth a few bucks extra. And, I don't know that complaining about these makes any difference in quality. Don't they just order another one or get another from the same batch? Does any quality feedback get back to the assemblers and do they care or would they act on the feedback? Usil
  21. Ok, so several wanted to know where I got the watch. This is not an endorsement, they are not one of the trusted dealers. All I did was follow a link I found in this forum a few weeks ago and came across this watch at a low price. http://www.hooheng.com/shop/p985/IWC-01-IW...oduct_info.html It is far lower in quality than what I normally get from our dealers but as I said before - I liked the looks of the watch (my guilty pleasure) and had not seen it offered anywhere else. As they took PayPal the transaction was fast and the delivery was uneventful arriving in a week or so. The wooden box was a nice surprise. Knock youself out. Usil
  22. Ah - that is the question. Damn reps. Usil
  23. Yes, it does look something like it. The rep has definitely a pilot heratage and is an amalgum of several pilot watches - none of which is accurately done. It has Saint Exupery on the back. I still like it. Usil
  24. Like I said - lots to pick at for accuracy. Usil
  25. Picked this up from a member at about half the price from a dealer. Can't get it off my wrist. Big - 49mm, lots of shiney & brushed SS but it just feels good and fits my wrist perfectly. Watch came with a non-working chonometer as a pusher pad has broken (not described in the sale) but The Zigmeister told me he could fix this so I am not worried. Very accurate at less than 2 second gain per day. Love Breitling and love this watch and now I want the Bentley TT model I have seen. Usil
