  1. I recently bought a Graham CO Commander from Josh. I can tell you that the lever is cheap because it waggles. You can check out my recent review of the watch. I wouln't buy a Graham from Josh again.

I did read your write up. I had the same problem with a Oversized Chronofighter i got from him. It was an easy fix. But the RAC series has been requested on this forum for a while now. The design of the RAC series seems that it may not have the same problem.

  2. I have been away from this forum for a while. :whistling: I recently noticed that Josh has Graham RAC Trigger reps available now. :clapping: I searched for any comments or write ups on these watches but haven't seen one yet. If there is one please direct me. Looking at the picture it looks like a pretty good rep. :good: The only thing that looks off to me is the reset button. I don't know, it just looks cheap. Let me know what you think. :g:

  3. RWG is our grading system. When watches are reviewed I pay close attention to what is being said. Most reviews go into much more detail then you recommended with your grading system. But maybe a mathematical, numerical grading system would be great. We would still need the Toads and Lani's of RWG to do the great reviews.

I do agree that water resistance would be a god send. I live in Florida and tend to make my way into the water quite often. I would love to not take my rep Oris CCLE professional divers watch off before I take the plunge. I have heard on many occasions, "A watch like that better be water proof!"

  4. Maybe I just didn't realize how many gen versions are available. When I see a rep I like, I then look to find a good picture of the gen to compare it to. Granted, I love mechanical watches but I still have a lot to learn. :pardon: Small things really don't bother me right now. But the blue hands often stick out, as with the FM Crazy Hours, Chronoswiss Regulateur, and with the Cartier Pasha series. All these watches, I take it, have both versions available? If so I'm not as disappointed as I was. :bangin:

I guess this means I am not a fan of this styling element.

Thanks for clearing this up for me. B)

  5. I don't understand it. :g: Perhaps some of you can enlighten me as to why so many reps have blue hands. :yuk: It's a dead give away....I should just etch "REPLICA" into the crystal. Why do the rep houses spend so much time and money designing and replicating gens if they are going to ruin all their work by putting blue hands on the watch? :cry2: They even replicate the movement, which very few people see. I don't understand it! =@

Or I could be totally wrong. Maybe it's just optics. Maybe the substandard AR mixed with a camera's flash just makes it seem like it's blue? Nope that's not it I got one in the mail recently. I generally make most of my purchases from the same dealer. Maybe its just this dealer? <_<

To whom has the inside track, please enlighten me.

  6. Anchor man...I know a lot of people that LOVE this film and think its SOOO funny, I mean ye its ok "i love lamp" is worth the lolz but I just dont get the rest of the film :S

There are much better comedy films out there imo but I guess each to their own. If anyone can explain why its so funny please do so :D lol

What other movie can produce a quote like: "Saaaannn Deigo....... Roughly translated a Whale's Vagina....." or "60% of the time, it works every time!" or "ON TOP OF MOUNTAIN!" or "it must be the Pleats....its an optical allusion."

No other movie, in my opinion, has produced so many quotable quotes. :1a:

  7. There is no way for me to narrow it down to only 3 movies. So here are some genres:

Commedy: Anchor Man, Big Lewbowski, and Harold Kumar Escape from Guantanamo.

Drama: Forest Gump, Blood Diamond, Shawshank Redemption :cry2:

    Action: Matrix, Transformers, 300 :Jumpy:

Honorable mentions: Snatch, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Dogma, Star Wars (all of them), The Kingdom, Platoon, Good Will Hunting, Gladiator, Saving Private Ryan, Top Gun, Mission Impossible, Rounders, the Rundown, and True Lies. :g:

There is no order to this list. For all these movies, I can watch these movies over and over and still find them entertaining.....Kind of like watches! :drinks:

  8. When I first got into this rep business I was so excited that I told my friends about the details of my purchases. :D This often made my reps a topic of conversation when I'd wear the more eye catching ones. Conversations always sparked debate, and at times, heated debates. The loud conversations drew attention and I couldn't help thinking how bad it must have sounded to the bystanders. :bangin: I now speak about my purchases only to this forum. :drinks: I find people comment about my watches less often now that I keep my hobby on the Hush. ;) I try not to comment on watches when I am wearing a rep so the topic doesn't even come up. If someone complements my watch I simply say thank you and play stupid on the brand details.

But... Friends, or even acquaintances, calling me out at a dinner party would [censored] me off.

  9. The guy never really needs to look at the time. He's surrounded by people to tell him what time it is.

And we all have cell phones which keep great time... yet we still spend more $$$ our reps then Obama's watch. :g:

  10. Cool to see the president wear such a "basic" piece. Looks very nice though. Hats off.

I'd rather see him wear a better piece. :bangin: If he wants a quartz maybe he should go with a Breitling Super Quartz. B) Anyone know what Bush wore on his wrist? :g:

  11. I, like most, had the same issue one year ago. :o I still have a huge wish list which I add to almost monthly.

One thing that will calm your watch craze :bounce: will be your first QC or movement issue. Man.... it really tugs on my balls when these things happen!

But these issues are still very prevalent in our hobby so happy shopping. :good:

  12. It seems you need a well made rep that is recognizable from across the room. I recommend a Pan or Rolex. These are well made reps and people can spot them from across the room. do your homework to find out the best replicated models so you don't have the confidence issues that people are mentioning. I love Breitlings and Grahams but they may be a little over the top for big wig lawyers.

  13. I am really liking those Graham watche sbut to be honest the only part which is bothering me is that huge lever.

Now I saw that the so-called Trigger series is out. These are Graham chronofighters with a smooth lever (compared to the old series).

Does anybody know if this new Trigger series is in the pipeline and will be repped by our asian friends?

I am a big fan of these watches as well. Pretty much all Graham watches. I hope they super rep the Chronofighter R.A.C. series. I think these are a little more elegant then the Oversized series.
