  1. Great shots! Here is my GMT. So far the best rolex out of the box for me.
  2. Thanks for the reply iceberg. So the ETA swiss movements in reps are actually made by ETA company right? After hearing this from my watchmaker, I was a bit confused and thought that the movement in my watch is not a real Swiss ETA but just China ETA. May be my watchmaker doesn't know much about the reps. He actually opened up the caseback, regulate the time and played a bit with the rotor and said that these so called "ETA swiss" in reps are actually copied by China. But my watch is running +1/day on my wrist after the regulation regards 64bit
  3. You mean the insert is popping out of the lip? Without the mod work, is this normal to see this flaw in these models? I bought this watch about 4 months ago so it was before the last batch I'm sure. I actually talked to the dealer about a newer version with updated ceramic is out. He didn't seem to know about it though. He said my watch is the latest of all GMT IIC models. Any words about how to fix my disoriented ceramic ? Thanks in advance
  4. Thanks lazarini. Actually I like this watch on the bracelet better and think that this strap looks better on SUB but the weather here in BKK these days is pretty hot. So I rather go something more comfortable before the winter.
  5. The other day I was talking with my watchmaker and he mentioned something about the movements in reps. He said the so called "swiss" movements used in reps are not actually made by swiss but actually by China. So far from my reading there is another movement called asian copy of swiss right? So where do actually these "swiss" movements come from? Can someone explain this to me or drop some links that discuss about the origin of these movements? Thanks in advance
  6. Been here for a while reading posts on the forum but rarely did I post. Just today I saw the thread about TT GMTIIC new model by By-Tor and it reminds me of my GMTIIC. While hoping it to come out with sold gold, I took some pics of my GMT here. Enjoy Thanks for looking

    Thanks for the input Pugwash
  8. Hi Just wondering while I'm here in Bangkok I plan to buy one sub. Does anyone know where I can find WM9 in Bangkok? I know several noob dealers here. If I have to get a noobmariner, I will need somebody to mod it for me. Shoot me a PM if you know any personal dealers and modders in Bangkok. Thanks in Advance
  9. Yeah same here chefcook. Been waiting since GMT IIC came out but still no chance. But should I be waiting for this hoping that it will come out? sighh.. when when ?
  10. Anyone knows when will this be repped ? Thanks
  11. Hi freddy Thanks for a quick reply. From what you've said, the hands were installed in the wrong position right? But one thing is that before I gave the watch to my cousin, it was with me for about 3 weeks. At that time, I could tell that the watch didn't have this problem. So, could this be some other issues like the GMT gear wheel needs a replacement? Anyway it's useless to ask these questions unless I bring this to watchmaker and have it checked. I want to know does anybody here have that issue before? Thank you
  12. Hi, I've been here since few months ago and mostly I read what the forum members wrote. I'm from thailand and I got this GMT2C IHS Swiss from MBK. After a month, my cousin saw it and really liked it so I gave it to him. It was about 3 months already and I got a phone call from my cousin and he said the watch is just fine but except for the fact that when the watch is at 12:00, the hour hand stays a little bit before the place where it should point to. Just to make this simple, my cousin said, the hour hand points to 12:00 sharp only when the minute hand points to 10. So, at 12:10, the hour hand points to 12 sharp. Could this be because my cousin played a lot with the GMT hand which only rotates anti-clockwise and the hour hand is pulled back a bit in anti-clockwise direction? It's pretty bad that he is not currently in Thailand and if that could be fixed, he wanted to send the watch back to me. Should I bring it back to the seller or should I just fix it myself? Anybody ever had this experience? Apart from that the watch is just perfect. Date changes at 12:00 30secs. It runs +3 a day. Sorry I don't have any photos. Thank you

  16. Hi all I live in Thailand and yes I admit that I have no idea about good rolex rep dealers in Thailand. The nearest I could think about is the MBK. I would like to pull the trigger on Rolex Sea-dweller. I did a bit of homework and found Joshua's super sea-dweller. If you guys know any of the good dealers in Thailand please let me know. To buy the reps outside my country is the last thing I want to do. I'm also interested in modded rollies. I'm planning to buy this for my dad. Please forgive me if you think I'm expecting a lot from the rep. But I have a confession. I've been a gen rollie fan for years already and this will be my first rep rolex in my rolex collection and sometimes I really can't stand the flaws(from the pictures of course). I believe some of you might feel the same way. You might say ohh why not give the gen ones to daddy. That's another story. My dad won't accept any gen offers. He said gens are a waste of money. And yes I'm gonna be honest with you. Money is not an issue as long as it is less expensive than a gen. My point is to get a high end rep sea-dweller for my dad in Thailand. Really my dad wants this GMT II 116713 but after a bit of homework this will be hell hard to make a rep and I could imagine the flaws. That's why I'm thinking about a Sea-Dweller. Kind advices will be appreciated Thank you Andrew
