  1. Well, we know at a minimum he plagiarizes others' work. I am sure AllegyDoc will be happy to see this.
  2. Well laugh if you want, but I replied to that email and now I am repying to this thread from my villa on the French Riviera.
  3. It HAS been repped already. It is a crappy rep, but once and for all, THERE IS A REP OF THIS ALREADY:
  4. Would Rolex recognize this as gen?
  5. 99 times out of 100 these deployments are to send a message. I wouldn't worry too much. GW has no support to speak of anymore, even from within his own party, and no approval from the people that matter to start an armed conflict with a THIRD country. Lame ducks don't get much lamer.
  6. No, but I love to write. I am a non-practicing attorney living in rural Spain, restoring a house by day, roaming the rep forums by night (it is REALLY rural where I am living). I came down to Marbella for a little down time. Nope, no gasket. Gaskets and O-rings and all attempts to make reps anything more than superficially similar to their genuine counterparts are relatively new developments in the rep world. I think we need to do a graphical time line of the evolution of reps - anyone up for it?
  7. I will send a pic to Josh and ask him if he can contact his suppliers about making a copy. I am sure that we could do a 897S "Canal St. Commemorative" edition.
  8. Review of the "897S" Rolex Submariner Introduction and Background I have often reflected on the fact that all of the discussion on the various forums dedicated to the study and collection of replica watches seems to be focused exclusively on the middle and high end watches. But what about the watches that, though now completely ignored in these venues, really represent the spiritual heritage of the very good mechanical reps that we now take for granted? As with most things, the evolution of replicas has been a gradual process characterized by change as replicas have been dissected, refined, and eventually supplanted by more faithful versions of themselves. But what of these watches
  9. Funny - any time I have mentioned trying to use the influence of members in this forum and others to get the dealers to change their qc policy - I am told snidely that we are one half of one percent of one small fraction of the entire rep market. Now this clown posts at TZ and he must certainly be a member here. Let
  10. Nope, not THAT stupid. I think about them about as much as they think about me. For the greater part of 15 years I have never lived further from my work (or worked further from my home) than I could get to comfortably on a bicycle. Everyone makes choices and for me those choices must necessarily included a realistic assesment of the future and about what constitutes responsible conduct in the context of a rapidly changing world. Others can do as they please, but let
  11. How about a BICYCLE???!!! When did everyone get so lazy? I hope gas goes to $10/gallon by 2010. That should get people off their fat asses and out of their Escalades. Then it will be my turn to laugh. By then I will have my house finished, my rep collection topped off, and I won
  12. You can (or could the last time I checked) buy gen Custo on the bay - on eBay.es
  13. The gift was the wine right - not the Daytona? Or was it both?
  14. People say things all the time that I don
