  1. On my hand I admire and respect that Freddy and the admin team want to get to the truth and are choosing an innocent until proven guilty attitude becuase the member has a long history here and was and/or is a valuable contributor.

On the other hand Freddy I hope you don't take this personally but your expressed views seem to differ from that of the forum guidelines.

You keep stating that he didn't scam anyone on RWG, that should not matter if the member is selling or has sold rep items as gens on another site, that is in directly violation of the forum guidelines here and he shoudl be banned immediately.

That really is the issue, is the email his that is linked to these sales that are showing rep items.

He should be banned for evening posting a sales ad, who cares what was delivered, if a rep item is shown as gen on a gen forum for sale as genuine that should be an instant banning, case closed.

It cannot be that hard to determine if the email linked to the sales photos is his.

Anything else is off topic and really not relevant.

I apologize for speaking out of turn and being a drama queen on this issue but it really seems like the one question is all that matters.

I hope the outcome is it is not his email or has not been successfully linked to this member, we all would feel much better if that is the outcome (except maybe for Edge, I dunno know)

Email posted belongs to Maciek (Sql_pl) proof forwarded to Mod staff here. Gen strap purchased, rep strap received. There are other details that I will not post as it has already been forwarded to the mod team. That being said, I respect what Freddy is doing. Kudos to him for wanting to keep things legit and impartial.

  2. This IS NOT a case of failure to deliver. There are 2 fully documented cases where buyers have paid for gen straps and received reps. With all due respect, this is not the first time things have happened that didn't make sense. Some of the most heinous crimes have been committeed by people that seemed to be legit and pillars of society. Allowing someone to hide behind their "rep" is not the way to make an informed decision, go off the facts.

Furthermore, I don't think I need to remind anyone here.... selling reps as gens on gen forums is exactly the type of thing that gives our hobby a bad name. To the powers that be, if you're confused or have any doubts about anything I've posted feel free to PM me.

  3. You're full of $hit. I bought a "gen" PO strap from you on TZ and contacted you using your glamorous atelier email account. You're using a different username now but even your current ad clearly lists an email address with glamorous atelier in it. You sent me a rep strap, plain and simple. People like you ruin this hobby for all of us.

Still awaiting your witty response Maciek.........

  4. Now, this is what I can't really understand from latest posts by @edge - is there conclusive, hard evidence that e-mail address(es) used by scammer(s) are Macieks ? I don't mean evidence like "He uses "DBGS" in his e-mail adress" or "Could be a coincidence, but would be rather strange in my opinion.". If there is EXACTLY (not similar, or same e-mail domain) the same address used in any of these scams, and that address can be directly linked to Maciek (for example, if he used it for registration to fora, or he used it as his PP address), then I say he is guilty and he should be held responsible, but I still did not see this evidence - and I don't want us to be like these guys:

Yes, I have multiple emails from him using that name during my transaction.

  5. I got banned at Repgeek for a deal in which a member bought a Panerai Purdey watch that has been in perfect working order when it left my hands, even sales pics proove that it was working. Upon arrival it was supposedly non-working. I packed it in 2 bubble envelopes, that's how I ship most of the watches sold here and never had issues like that. I did agree to refund buyer's money upon arrival of the watch back in my hands.

Nembo, admin at RG banned me because of that. He DID mention in one of his PMs that edgematic was complaining to him about what he thought was me selling fake goods but as he had NO SOLID PROOF (how in the world would he have it if I did not do it!!!) he decided to not even discuss it with me.

I did have a deal with edgematic for a genuine omega strap (like 2 years ago maybe?) that was shipped out to him and went missing on the way! I provided him with tracking number (registered mail so not the best of trackings as you know), but according to him it never made it there so I did refund his money! What is funny is how edgematic writes in his RG posts: "I bought a supposedly gen rubber UPO strap from him, turned out fake" -> so did you receive it or not? I shipped out a genuine strap that you said never arrived and I gave you your money back - now you tell me it arrived and "turned out fake"??????? I did sell some GENUINE straps some time ago (single pieces of several kinds) but I have not been active in any watch aspect in quite some time as some of you might have noticed. I did see quite a number of places using my pics indeed, even in some sales posts at RG but who cares.

The pics of the gen Survivor strap (that I had even before CN friends released their great rep!) have been floating around so often I stopped counting, I guess they were good for other sellers so they used them.

Cannot say I regret getting banned at RG, it was always a second forum for me.

Thank you for taking your time to read.

  6. Surprisingly lume out of the wrapper is quite good, on par with DSN's superlume and Angus' Superlume option. Here's a shot taken during lunch, closed the blinds but still had a lot of light in the room. 1/25sec @ f/2.8 so it's not an exaggerated lume shot with a 5 second exposure.

  7. Got my Angus 322 yesterday and absolutely LOVE it! I took some pics for you guys but it's even better in person! The case has nice sharp edges. Dial color is a nice cloudy milk chocolate per gen but haven't seen a 322 in person so can't verify accuracy. Chapter ring looks great and appears to be rose gold per gen. The bridges look pretty good in person. Considering it's a 6497 made to look like a gen 322 movement, it's an awesome effort. The engraving is unfilled but that's a super easy fix. Fill with blue paint and wipe off the excess with a rag. Go grab one guys, it's definitely worth it!!!! Can't wait to get some straps for this beast!

  8. Wow, glad to hear you and your family are ok! Your timing is amazing, I bought a weekend house and this past weekend the smoke detectors went haywire. They were going off sporadically from 1AM on and they're wired into the alarm system so if one goes off, they all go off. Ended up disconnecting all of them and pulling them off the ceiling. The whole time I was thinking... what if there is a real fire.

First thing I'm doing when I get there tomorrow is install some 9V powered smoke detectors. Thanks for sharing that story!

  9. Can't wait for the review R!!! I posted this in another forum but saw the link to RWG and thought I'd add the info here as well. Lots of speculation that the V1 TG case is not ceramic. The Top Gun V1 is indeed ceramic, the pics are pretty damn conclusive I'd say! I have confirmation directly from the maker that the case is full ceramic, caseback rim is ceramic, all other parts are titanium except the screws on the movement holder and the movement holder itself is copper.

  10. Man that was quick, you guys don't mess around! I was hoping to see some posts about how it could be improved to be a true 1:1 rep. :D Oh well, I picked up this gen last weekend and thought I would share, I blurred out the BB# and the LE#.
