  1. You can get a Crazy Hours with a more correct caseback and crisper engraving if you just buy the normal crazy hours, not the color dreams version, shame because I prefer the color dreams, now, I did get mine with the caseback from the normal one and the color dreams dial, the engraving on the caseback is really well done and no spelling mistakes at all, it's really crisp like the ones from a $300 rep. I guess any dealer can get you one like mine.

That's really good to hear because I want the colordreams dial with a better caseback. Even if it isn't the greatest representation, I can deal with it if there are no misspellings. I'll ask my dealer about this. Thanks for the advice.

  2. No, you're not "out of line" of course. I'm just as curious about this whole subject as everyone.

I think PT mistakenly claimed that the bezel on one of his watches was solid gold, and it wasn't. He was misinformed by his supplier.

I don't think those problems had anything to do with the bracelet. But I could be wrong, I had to go that old thread and check it out.

Awesome review By-Tor. I'm a total newbie but I learned so much in the past week of being on this forum (much of it from you) I have been communicating with Chris and so far the communication has been beyond excellent. I am placing an order for this watch, I don't particularly care if the gold is solid or not, as long as it is reliable. The price is good, your review seems to point out that the rep is very close to gen and I'm a sold man. I've always wanted one of these.

PS: I tried to PM you but I don't think it went threw. Are you accepting PM's?

  3. Thanks for the review! I didn't realize reps of the crazy hours even existed. I'm shocked that the pricing is so reasonable. I'm also baffled for all that is done right, the case back has spelling errors. I never understood that. Anyway, I'm new to this community and only own a single GEN which is the 2007 Tag F1. I've ordered the Omega SMP from PT and am working with Eurotimez to purchase the "noobmariner". The 2 "newbie bate" watches I guess! But, I've always wanted the crazy hours. It looks like I should get the rep and replace the band then try and source the back. If anyone knows of any good sources, please let us know!

  4. Hello All,

I've been searching this forum for a few days and am already addicted even though I don't yet own a rep. I actually just bought my first Tag Formula (genuine) after having a BAD rep experience. Figured I'd give this forum a try and needless to say I'm *very* impressed with the wealth of information. The first two reps I'm looking at are the same that EVERY newbie wants so I won't bother going into that.

Just wanted to say 'Hi!' and I'm pleased to be a part of the community. You can also find my on rx8club.com under the same user name (Zephyrzone). I bought my first new car (2007 Mazda RX8 GT) in July and have been very active in the community. Now it looks like I'll have another new obsession!

BTW> Wouldn't it figure that my genuine Tag was broken out of the box (second hand doesn't tick on point- and it's not even a chrono!). I had to send it back to the net seller for a replacement. Hopefully they'll send back a perfect one.

    -Z

  5. I'm new here too and like most newbies had the same question (except I'm in the US). Of course, I'm used to online forums and used the good old search function. I only used it long enough to know WHICH sub is best, I''m sure with another few hours I'll know much more (where to buy from for example). One thing I did know for certain was NOT to ask this question! :p
