  1. I bought this watch about 2-3 months ago from a website called timeswiss.com. After seeing this thread, I emailed Henry, the webmaster and asked where it came from. He told me that he buys all of his watches in Guangzhou but is not involved with the manufacturing process. He told me that none of his other Railmaster models have RWG engraved on the back and that he had never noticed that before. From what it looks like, the maker of the RWG railmaster may have started selling the different bits and pieces to other makers, such as the casebacks, dials etc. So this watch somehow ended up with an RWG caseback, but not the gold engraved movement that was supposed to come on the RWG tribute watch. Somewhere in Guangzhou, there are RWG tribute watch parts being sold to various manufacturers I would assume. Tracking down the person who is selling the pieces is probably going to be damn near impossible. Henry from timeswiss.com volunteered to ask around since he is the one who shipped the watch to me originally.
  2. I agree, buy from who you want. If you are a cheapo, and let price determine where you buy replicas from, then shop accordingly. Just don't come on here and complain when the $100 Swiss replica you ordered has tons of flaws and a 10 year old rusted ETA prototype movement. Generally speaking, when a dealer of any product all of the sudden comes out with insanely low prices, it means one of many things: 1. They need money, badly 2. They are going out of business 3. They have come across some extremely cheap stock, which is usually cheap for a reason. It's absolutely ludicrous for members to say "so-and-so dealer is a rip off because I saw the same product elsewhere for $50". It has been proven time and time again that fire sale prices almost always result in low quality products and for some reason this board has frequently been filled up with people who constantly say "I can get the same Swiss ETA watch for $50, what a rip off!" These people have no concept of building a rapport with a dealer and continuing to do business with them. That is why I feel the price of replicas shouldn't go down, because we see more and more annoying people on these boards when replica prices start to hit rock bottom.
  3. oooooooooo read the threads, looks like there is a lot of anger regarding this particular project and a mystery manufacturer who did not deliver. What a drag. The fact that I ended up with this watch goes to show that somewhere in a marketplace in Guangzhou, there are RWG branded watches floating around that should have been delivered to fellow board members.
  4. Hey I sold that watch to you! What is the signifigance of the RWG on the back? I looked at it and thought that there was no way it could be related to this board. Very curious.
  5. I always post who I bought it from and how much I paid for it. 99% of the time it was either bought from another member on this board or one of our several trusty dealers. I think it's funny that people are getting agitated about prices of used replicas. The bottom line is that no one is forcing you to buy anything. If I want to sell my used watch at a 30% loss instead of a 60% loss, don't complain about it, just don't buy it!
  6. I think that we have a strange mentality when trying to determine how much a used rep is "worth". Some people think of them as automobiles, you drive it off the lot and it automatically loses 40% of it's value. Is that really necessary? Does that fact that someone wore a watch two or three times really justify a 40% decrease in value? Not really, that is just the perception. BTW the whole "drive it off the lot and it loses 40% of it's value" gimmick was invented by auto dealerships to further their profits on trade ins and to severely reduce competition in the used car market.
  7. Wasn't there an issue with people getting watches that had 10 year old ETA prototype movements? Or was that another dealer? Someone posted a picture of the Rolex they got, and it had what appeared to be an antiquated and slightly rusted movement. As mentioned above, you get what you pay for, but sometimes you can find a great deal!
  8. I should have known that this would come out not long after I bought the original version.
  9. I've been talking to one of the trusted dealers about starting a group buy for ten 47mm Breitling Bentley 7750 watches. Price would be $239 shipped but can only occur if 10 people pitch in, shipping would be DHL, and FAST. Would need 10 people. If anyone is interested in this group buy send me a PM, no need to post.
  10. Yes, it's available now, for less than expected. I think I might wait for them to come up in the member forum for sale, as some people are bound to strap that monster on once and realize that it's WAY too big for their wrists
  11. I can't believe someone had the audacity to try to point that out in public. He must have no manners or social skills. You should have just told him to bugger off as he was interrupting a conversation with his rudeness.
  12. Wow, I thought that deal was a little too good to be true, and it looks like it was. That movement looks like it was alive and ticking back during the Nixon administration.
  13. I owned that watch forever and I never noticed anything crooked on it, nor did I ever have anyone call me out on it. Refer that guy to me, I have lots of watches I'dbehappy to sell him for $600
  14. When you see hacked up prices, keep in mind that you often get what you paid for, as mentioned above.
  15. I agree! but the postal service does not. The problem is that if you tell them the buyer paid cash for the item, they then want to see some kind of receipt from YOU showing how much YOU bought the item for, if you tell them that YOU paid cash, I guess you are out of luck.
  16. People always ask me why I prefer to ship things Fedex or DHL. Here is the reason why: filing a lost or damaged claim with USPS is nearly impossible for some reason. Case in point, the lost PAM127. I shipped a PAM127 to another member over 1 month ago. He waited and waited and waited, and finally after about 20 days I just refunded him, assuming that the watch wasn't going to show up. I filed a claim for the insured package and this is what I inlcuded: 1 x Paypal statement showing the transaction 1 x Bank statement showing the transfer 1 x Printed Invoice / Receipt showing how much he paid for the watch 1 x Formal letter stating that the watch was never recieved 1 x Print out from online tracking that shows the watch was never delivered They denied my claim and told me that I would have to provide an actual credit card receipt from a store to show how much the watch was originally worth. Seriously, with this type of merchandise, I don't know if it's even worth insuring through USPS, as they will go out of their way to NOT honor your insurance claim. To top it all off, they are the ones who lost the package, it wasn't damaged, wasn't mislabled, they lost it. This gets me thinking that what if you are simply selling some of your used stuff on ebay or something, stuff that you do not have a receipt for. Is there any point in insuring the box with USPS? They are going to deny your claim unless you have an original receipt. So anyway, after about 30 days, the watch finally shows up at the member's house (probably due to me initiating a claim), long after I had already refunded him. I sent it priority mail, and it took over 30 days to reach another person who is also inside the USA. The member was kind enough to send the watch back to me, and hopefully USPS hasn't lost it again. I've had to file a claim with Fedex once, and they were fast about it, they accepted my bank statement/paypal statement, and sent me a check in less than 2 weeks. USPS is cheaper, sometimes faster, but as far as filing a claim goes, things don't go as smoothly as Fedex or DHL.
  17. When I was 12, I didn't give a rat's [censored] about watches. I was more concerned with reading Playboys and playing football with my mates. Hell if I knew that people even made fake watches back then, nor did I care about it, or know how much a Rolex cost. On a side note, I can't even count the number of Panerai replicas that I have shipped to Italy, even Florence, with zero problems. So maybe they should beef up their customs to prevent those things from entering their country in the first place, instead of ambushing some poor 12 year old European brat.
  18. I tend to agree, when you are selling bling bling products, your clientele isn't always going to be on the up-and-up. I also think his watches aren't that spectacular, lots of them just use crapo quartz movements, all he does is throw a bunch of diamonds on them and sell them to gullable celebrities.
  19. Anyone see the latest People magazine? Looks like Jacob the Jeweler is in deep trouble. The article said that he knowingly accepting drug money, and laundered said money for some of his products. Looks like even "legitimate" watch makers have trouble with the law. He faces 20 years in prison if convicted. He was released on $100,000 bail.
  20. waiting for a radiomir pvd.......... =)
  21. that's pretty sad actually. a 12 year old kid might not even know what he is buying. I guess it goes to show that the Italian police have nothing better to do, which may actually be a good sign. Police in my city are too busy arresting rapists and engaging in high speed chases on the freeway. 12 year old kids buying a replica certainly wouldn't be news in my town
  22. I recommend the 192, may not be 100% accurate, but it's one of the nicest looking PAM replicas.
  23. Yes, I've seen him wear a SS/white dial Daytona before. Anyhow, it's nice to see that less people are wearing those god aweful blang blang Jacob & Co watches, they look ridiculous unless you are a gangsta rapper.
  24. I can second that, I've had packages circling around China for the last 2 weeks, what a drag!
