  1. Congrats on the $400 positive balance. I love a good poker game. And yes...all kinds of discussion comes up in a game. I had a similar event. I told a guy that he had a nice watch, one time in a game. It was some sort of dress watch that I'd never seen before. And he says: Yea, I love it, but it's not as nice as yours. I can't afford something like that. I was wearing my rep best SeaDweller...and just smiled. I think I may have been up about $50.
  2. Try a Patek or any dress dress watch with a nice leather strap...you can be elaborate with some of these. And I think it would be nice.
  3. My wife found my hidden (watch) drawer at the top of my clothes chest. I walked in on her standing over it...just staring! Then the look turned to me. I've never felt so small... ...but, I got over it...and so did she. I then proceeded to inquire about a new Day Date. I've yet to pull the trigger as I'm working on payment options, but it should be interesting to see the reaction I get. It's an obsession that, I'm sure, needs an "Anonymous" program. You can't stop...so, just find a 12 step program. You'll feel better.
  4. YEA...like that GMT. I wonder, does it come in Pepsi or just Halloween colors?
  5. Holy Moly, that is one beautiful watch. Now, I'll have to pull out my non-modded cheapo GMT Pepsi and pretend. <-- Ooh, I like that
  6. Nice watch! I got a Pasha (ss white dial) for my wife some time ago. It's perfect...looks great...and still keeps going. She loves it...and I'd be interested in the black dial myself. Enjoy!
  7. Affirmed, in 1978, still remains the last Triple Crown winner. That was an awesome race today. When he turned the back corner and took off like a bullet...that was amazing. Every year, we have a triple crown party on the day of the Belmont. But, it's been a LONG time since we've seen the Triple Crown...I was 10. We're having it again...and maybe THIS will be the year. Mint Juleps for everyone!
  8. Very nice pictures! Great watch...cute kid! I want some watermelon now.
  9. So you don't find Kermi-Jedi Sexy? vlydog's is just
  10. Maciek, I'm just finding this thread. My deepest condolences to you and your family. I do understand how bad it is to lose a part of your family. I do, however, have a friend I'd like you to meet...with an incredible story: This is Sam...she might be funny looking, but most certainly a part of our family (and loves opening presents): She spent 3 weeks on a bed floating around in 9 feet of water at our Katrina ravaged house. I was not allowed back in the city for those three weeks and that time without her was the worst time of my life. I was sure she was dead as most animals left behind were killed in the storm. We found her alive, after three weeks, no clean water, no food, nothing...just sitting on the bed waiting for anyone to come home. Obviously, I've made the story quite short, but you get the point. She has spent probably 8 of her 9 lives, but is still alive today and no signs of stress. Thank you for this thread...we all need to remember the animals in our lives. They make living much better. ARTA is beautiful!
  11. Wow...very nice. I've jacked it for the puter screen!!
  12. Ryyannon...was sarcasm on? This is the truth. And sadly, I don't see it getting any better. Back on subject: This WAS a person's life...nothing can replace that. Tragic. Like Nightstroker said, however, I believe there was more to it...you have to be troubled to take a life; yours or someone else's.
  13. Look even closer...Ralph has merged with a better brand: Sales are up by 75%
  14. But, does it have a TRL? Send a "back" shot, please.
  15. Yea, I read about this a while back. Each of the four criminal counts listed in the indictment carries a maximum prison term of five years. NOT ENOUGH for someone's life.
  16. Thanks for the BIO, avitt. I did not know him. Rest In Peace!
  17. Nice choice. I've had a few Olympus cameras. However, the best yet, for me, is an old Olympus C-5060 Wide Zoom. Super wide angle lens, with 4x optical zoom, equivalent to a 27-110mm lens on a 35mm camera 5.1-megapixel CCD delivering up to 2,592 x 1,944-pixel resolution images (3,264 x 2,448 pixels with Optimum Image Enlargement interpolation). The best part about it is the 1.8-inch, color LCD display that tilts 180 degrees upward and swivels 180 degrees around. It's not the 10.2 mp, like yours...but, the 5.1 is all I need for what I do. (web work) If I were to macro out, like you guys, I'd probably look into your camera. Enjoy.
  18. Green or White tea for me...can't do the coffee thing. But, that looks inviting.
  19. Hmmm...I've never seen a yachtie on a strap. Looks nice.
  20. I'm watching it now...so, I took a screen shot of the Bvlgari Pretty good movie so far...a pretty good job by Downey...good soundtrack also.
  21. WOW...I'm jus seeing this. GREAT picture...Great looking child. CONGRATULATIONS "V" to you and your family.

    SNOW!

Wow...fun stuff. We only see snow about every 7 years. But, it doesn't drift like that...or stick to the ground much.
  23. Being from one of those mentioned flooded areas; this hits home...and reminded me of a similar thought. There is a bar in the French Quarter that hasn't shut down in over 20 years...open 24 hours a day. Katrina wasn't going to stop this tradition. They told everyone in the bar that the doors will be boarded up, but the libations would remain flowing. If anyone was interested in staying, expect to stay for at least 2 days. There were takers. They locked down and continued on through the storm...and it remains open today. Now THAT'S dedication...or alcoholism at it's finest.
