  1. I'll throw my hat in the ring. I'm in for the chronograph at Sash's price, assuming we can get the payments sorted. I may even take a rubber strap too.
  2. Right, that's it. I haven't bought a watch since November, and i have to have this one. I did wonder about yellow stitching myself, and it looks just as good as i expected. Enjoy it.
  3. If i could buy one for $1900 USD in this country, i'd probably buy one myself - I have 4 Planet Ocean reps. Sadly, you're looking at about 50% more than that, even after a discount.
  4. The clasp is held on with pins idendical to those in the bracelet links. There's one at each side, and they use a tube (same as the links) to secure the pins. Just remove them the same as you would a bracelet pin, but the PO has never been the easiest watch to resize.
  5. I'm a life long Ferrari fan, so i'll be rooting for the prancing horse. I see Formula 1 has finally started broadcasting in widescreen. I hear it's shot in HD too, but noone in the UK is showing it in high-def.
  6. "Cahoot" do a credit card that works like this. You set a limit (say
  7. Basically my cousin bought a cheap (damaged) mid sized Seamaster, and he's given it to me to fix for him. Now, the He valve is broken. The "stem" (well, valve i guess) for it is there, and so is the tube. The "crown" is missing. The tube and crown are also broken. Half the tube is in the watch, the other half has part of the crown in it. The stem seems to be okay (i've removed it), as it still has part of the crown screwed onto it. So, i need the part numbers for these. The case number 196.1622 (stainless steel): Tube Crown Helium escape valve (complete, or just the outer part if possible) I've searched Cousins in the UK, but their descriptions don't mention case numbers or model names. I've also searched Ofrei, but the case number draws a blank there. Any help is appreciated.
  8. That rep never came with the Seagull or ETA 2892, it was the 007 version (which pre dated this by a few months) that did. I have the same watch, bought the day it appeared on the market. It will probably have an ETA 2824. It's probably a quirk that your date change is like that. My ultimate PO does the same thing, but none of my other ETA watches do, and i've had the back of pretty much all of them. I can't remember anyone modding the crown guards, but i do remember someone cutting down the rep crown, to make it shorter and look more like the gen. I can't remember his nick (it began with a P iirc), or even if he made the move here from RWG 1. edit: The member was Pip.
  9. I expected to see the great white, but not a white 1680 too. Greedy *******. The only Rolex i still want is a white 1665 or 1680. Sadly, everytime i'm about to seek out one, something else comes along. Last time it was V's 112H PVD.
  10. It was the first thing i noticed. There was a good close up in the show which removed any doubt. In the last series, i'm not sure what he had, and before that, he always wore a bond Seamaster.
  11. Very nice. I have one myself. I really ought to put my 4 Pannies in it. At the minute it's home to 5 Seamasters, 2 Subs, a Yacht-master
  12. Weekends (Friday night - Sunday night) for me, or in the evening if i go out somewhere. I use power tools all week and sometimes work on building sites. Not really the place for a rep.
  13. In the past, i've had 5 Submariners at one time. 2 LVs, 2 black, and a two tone Serti. I'm down to 3 now. I have 4 Planet Oceans at the moment. 42mm (4th gen ETA) Orange on SS 42mm (4th gen ETA) Black with orange numerals on black croc with Omega deployant 45mm Asian (20mm lugs), Black with white numerals on brown croc with Omega deployant (this is a really nice looking combo btw). 45mm Ultimate ETA, Black on SS. I might even buy another, if they ever bring the 22mm Rubber strap out on the new asian Ultimate 45mm. I also want to get a 22mm brown croc for my ultimate.
  14. Stunning. Thanks Pugwash. It should also resize nicely to lower 16:10 resolutions.
  15. Yay. Finally a wallpaper for us 24" monitor users (while i'm here, i'll throw in a hint for a PO one the same res ) Nice watch too. I still haven't had the bottle to try a 47mm Pam, though my wrist is abou the same size as Pugwash's.
  16. I think the Orange one would look quite good. I'm not sure about the black.
  17. Great pics. Have you got one in 1920x1200?
  18. The first one i got, was the Orange 42.5 4th gen version. It's nice to wear with jeans or casual clothes. Since then, i also got the black/orange combo 4th gen. Presently, this is on a black gator strap, and is quite versatile, and almost dressy. Most recently, i got the 45.5mm Black PO. This is a great watch, that can be worn with pretty much everything but a suit (due to it's size). It looks great on brown croc, black croc, black rubber, and bracelet. In my opinion, this is easily the most usable colour.
  19. Oops. I never spotted it was a different movement I still might get one. On the other hand, i might wait and see if it appears on a rubber strap.
  20. I see the 45.5mm Ultimate PO in the what's new listing. Not a new watch, but a new price. $128 At that price, i might have to get Planet Ocean number 5. Must......... resist. Too.......poor.
  21. I know almost nothing about that model sub (see? I don't even know the number). But, i can't help thinking that the case looks a little thick.
  22. The first line is an outright lie. "WM of Switzerland is one of the leading European creators and distributors of high quality watches." If that's true, how come i (and probably all but a handful of forum members) had never heard of them until an hour ago.
  23. Their (WM, not Ideal World) website rattles on about the tourbillon aswell. It has an exclusive 35 jewel movement apparently. A $60 watch priced at $400. No, like this: http://www.watchcat.com/NewListings/sko3711blk.jpg
  24. Watching. Asian movements at high-end rep prices. I paid less than that for my Ultimate PO I could buy a vastly superior Seiko Monster for that (If anyone sees a cheap black one in the UK, let me know). EDIT: Here's the watch Finepics mentioned http://www.wmswitzerland.com/en/product.asp?id=10#
