Aston Martin DBS for sure. Huge fan. Sleek, understated and sounds awesome.

You and i are searching for the same thing. it seems that many of the rep PAMs don't have the "correct" case from what I have been reading.
-
Looks really good with that aqua color type lume for sure.
Nice watches.
-
Did this die out?
-
I have the 4 place winder and it has been doing well. I have noticed that I must put it on the highest setting to keep my PAM going so far.
What setting are you using and are you noticing that the time is staying current?
-
Does the dial that you selected now make this a "fantasy" model? Just curious. i see it say "T swiss T" and the old dial said "L swiss L". I am still new at this and trying to figure out what is closer to gen etc.
Thanks

Excellent looking piece. Love the strap and the Ti casing together. Looks very slick.
That face is BROWN isn't it?
Can't wait to see the completed product and the before/after shots.

that lume on the gen looks great. I guess you guys will have to get Vac or The Zigmeister to do their magic. Should come out awesome ... however that is an additional cost above and beyond the price tag already on these bad boys.

Thanks guys. The 089 is growing on me. The DSN112 will most likely be looking for a new home. Will give it today and probably tomorrow to see how it makes me feel.

Well boys and girls, I officially entered into the PAM world today. It was exciting being able to go to the post office to receive my 2 boxes. PAM089Ti from Vac and DSN112 from WatchDude by way of another member.
Both watches are excellent. However, I am not sure how I feel about them. I sort of jumped in with both feet without looking and now I am 2nd guessing the whole PAM fantasy.
I have been wearing the 089 around the house all day and looking at it, getting used to it etc. it seems to be working and starting to grow on me. The DSN112 from WatchDude on the other hand I think is too blah for my tastes.
So I am going to try these 2 out for a little bit but if not they are going up for sale so i can recoup the money I spent on these.......neither of which were cheap.
PAM089Ti from vac ..... Anthracite dial, vaclume, service, movement regulated adjusted, thick Ti crown, Croc strap with Ti buckle with ensignia.
DSN112 from WatchDude by way of quick stop at another member .... lumed, cg pin flush, crown guard lever perfect, well that one speaks for itself.
I know you guys want pictures so here goes. If anyone is interested in taking either one of these off my hands.....moreso the DSN112, let me know.
On to the photos... Sorry for my photography skills. I am trying to work on them. Got some lume shots in there as well.
LITTLE FAMILY PHOTO WITH THE CHOPARD!!!
Dial color of the 089Ti looks very close to the Chopard dial.
Thanks for looking and providing feedback.

Nice, looking good. I am thinking about getting one of these. just having an EXTREMELY hard time deciding whether or not I want white face or black.
I got several (well will soon have) black and grey/anthracite color faces. I have no light color faces.
What are the shortcomings of the white face or safari compared to the black?
Thanks

what about the PAM 089? That is in Ti. Is it no good?

Thanks all, for the very kind words
So, day 2 with this bad boy, and it's starting to feel a little more natural on the wrist. Still somewhat awkward, though; the weight always reminds me it's there!
To help answer some questions...
Not sure how this movement will fare under the scrutiny of ZZ! Hopefully, this will pass the test!
Raymond- It's difficult to say for sure. My wrist is 6.75" and I only have one link on (all the rest have been removed). I think the proper fit is going to depend on the shape of your wrist as the long case and lug overhang will play an important role as to whether the watch feels comfortable. As we all know, the RO and ROO bracelets aren't the most conforming; the rubber strap as dani mentioned may indeed be a better solution!
Theo- The clasp on this one is tension set and snaps open once the flip lock is opened.
As for the flaws... Just glancing at my watch, here's what I see:
-The date surround in the aperture is silver, not black (though for me, it's not a huge deal).
-The date/cyclops is a little too close to the inner bezel/rehaut
-No lume on the markers
-No metal surrounds on the markers (though this is a pretty subtle one).
-Crown is a bit high on the profile
Otherwise things look pretty decent (though I'm sure I've missed a few).
Thanks again for the comments, guys! All very much appreciated!
Cheers,
Randy
Awesome watch there Randy. I see many with the black version and wondering if the other color (the white) is a "better" choice. Is the date surround in the aperture correct on the white faced version?
Is the black face overall more accurate than the white face?
Thanks.

So have you decided if you like it yet? Is it growing on you?

I am quickly starting to like that bronze SOH. Looks very good and different from all the "regular" colors you see these days.
Great photos.

Do you guys mind sharing where you found those bezels?
-
I will be interested to know where you found such a sweet bezel. I would like to purchase one myself. Please do tell.....
thanks

Where did that perforated leather strap come from? I want one of those.....
Thanks

hmmm, like I said before, they make it and the case/finish is up to snuff it is as good as added to the collection. I already have the 2007 Limited Edition GTXL Chrono version so this would be a nice addition.
also comes in a silver face but doesn't look near as pimp as the Speed Black DLC version.

I agree that is a bad boy... I would pick it up in a heartbeat if they rep'ed it.

Ah man, that is awesome. it is on my list to purchase. Trying to decide to go with the face you selected or the grayish face. I think the silver/whitish would stand out more.
Congrats.

Excellent info and write up. I have been spending more time over here since RG was down and I am pretty much set on getting this to expand my collection.
