  1. 2824-2 Manual Wind Venus 175 Lemania Manual Asian Movement I have read The Zigmeister's review, but these do not specify needing servicing. Thanks.
  2. While trying to adjust the timing on my watch, the part, which I do not know what it is called, came off. There is a spring attached to it and it is just hanging off the watch. There is actually a piece of sharp wire that broke off the spring. The part looks like a circle and is located at the bottom center of photo. Can this be repaired? And would a watch smith be willing to do this type of work. I am afraid my watch is ruined.
  3. I am not worried about the movement. I am worried that the crown or any of the parts attached to it will break. Should I be worried?
  4. I own a Breitling Navitimer Serie Speciale and have been having trouble trying to regulate it. It runs extremely fast and I just can't seem to get it to run right. I would rather just adjust it every day but I am concerned that the crown and its parts may be fragile. Is this a bad idea?
  5. I found out how to regulate a 7750 here:http://www.rwg.cc/members/Adjust-Rep-s-Timing-and-t19163.html&hl=how+to+regulate (second photo). My question is how? Is there a screw to turn or do I have to use some sort of tool to move the regulation arm? Thanks.
  6. I own a Breitling Navitimer Serie Speciale. I am interested in purchasing a caseback opener so I can regulate it as it runs quite fast. I know nothing about tools and would like to purchase a decent quality opener without spending a lot. 1. Will $50 buy a good one? How much would you spend? 2. Also, I would like to be able to use it on future watches. Does one fit all? My next watch will be an IWC Portuguese. 3. Where should I purchase it? 4. Is the opener the only tool needed to open the watch? 5. How do I close the watch. Thanks for any help.

  8. Do you think that the average person could tell this is a rep?
  9. Is this a good replica? What about the movement. I'm new at this. Thanks in advance. http://www.jpc8118.com/jl00111-duometre-rg...ime-p-5506.html
  10. I had to send a brand new watch back to China for repair from the U.S. I sent it in Oct. 22, and on the 27th the tracking information said it had arrived in China. Since then there has been no update. I called the USPS for more information and they told me it probably had not cleared customs. My question is, if it gets confiscated, will I be notified? I know I need to be patient, but if it HAS been confiscated, I want to know. As always, thanks in advance.
  11. How do I send with EMS from the USA? I thought that EMS was only in China? Do I ask at the post office about EMS?
  12. I need to send a watch back to China from the USA for repair and my dealer gave me no instructions on how to do so, he just gave me an address. A while ago someone posted similar question and one of our members replied, "USPS I just send mine back priority ... or you can go just 1st class.. the most important thing to remember is to declair it as costume jewelry accsesory and clasim 10 usd .. that is the most important thing to remember.. just follow your dealers instructions toi the letter and you won't have a problem". Does everyone agree on this? And what happens if it is lost or seized? Do I only get $10 back? How can I protect myself? Thanks for any help.
  13. My crown was off watch when it arrived from dealer. It appears to be broken. It is a Breitling Navitimer. Dealer said it is the push on type, not screw in. Dealer said he would pay for the repair. Do replica Navitimers have the same crown-stem mechanism as genuine Navitimers? Can I take to a gray market Breitling dealer? Thanks
  14. The crown has a small post on the inside that is just a bit taller than the thickness of the crown, that is if you run the inside of the crown along your finger you can feel the post scrape your finger. Does this post belong there, or is it part of the stem that has broken off? Still waiting to hear from the dealer.
  15. I just received a Breitling Navitimer Serie Speciale, but the crown was off before I even touched the watch. I wrote the dealer, assuming it was a screw down crown. He replied, "The watch you ordered doesn't have a "screw down in crown" it is a push / pull crown... So you pull and push it back in... no use of screwing it inside... " The problem is I can't push it in, it doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  16. I called the post office and was able to have it delivered. Thanks for everyone's help.
  17. I found out today that I missed the delivery of my new rep. This is my first purchase. Unfortunately, the package was addressed to William Campbell, my forum name, not my real name. The person who would have signed for the package didn't know who William Campbell was and refused it. It was shipped EMS, and I assume the USPS tried to make the delivery. How do I get my watch? How do I prove I am the one who the package was sent to? I can't tell them that it is my forum name on a rep forum. I am worried that it will be sent back to China. What do I do? I have contacted seller, but have not heard from him yet. Thanks
  18. After reading many posts I finally decided to use Paypal as a non-verified member and would fund the transaction with a credit card. I tried to send money and was told that my account has limited access and I would need to either enter my social security number, or link my bank account. Other posts have stated that Paypal would then use the funds from the bank account and not the credit card. The whole point is I WANT to use a credit card. What should I do? If they use funds from my bank account and there is suspicion about the transaction, can they hold my funds, and then what would happen?
  19. I am ordering from Chris at Eurotimez and am filling in the Paypal information. It asks for :Goods, or Services/other Which do I choose? Thanks.
  20. Recently I was on Canal Street and saw a Breitling Navitimer Rep. It looked really good to me and had some weight to it . It had the 12 9 6 dials and was an automatic. I don't remember if it said "Serie Special". I didn't check to see if the chronos worked and I don't know if it had a saphire. The dealer wanted $65. My question is, what movement did it likely have, and what would the quality be and how long would it likely last? I thought the automatics were all 7750, but could it have sold for such a low price? And would a watch this inexpensive have a saphire? I don't care if the chronos work but I do want a Saphire. How can I know without actually scratching it? Do you think this could be a good buy? Thanks in advance.
  21. Getting ready to purchase my first rep, I am confused about the different methods of payments, including credit cards. I would like to use a credit card, but do I have the same protection that I have when making purchases of a more conventional item? I've read about the problems with PayPal. I thought PayPal was safer then credit cards. What about the other methods? What happens if there are problems with customs, etc. If I never receive my watch, what happens? Am I out of luck? There is so much information on these pages but I wish someone could write a small article about exactly what is involved with each type of payment. Specifically, MB, Western Union, MoneyGram, Bank Wire, and Credit Cards. Also, I live in the United States. Thanks in advance.
