  1. Alright Guys,

I received an e-mail today from Angus. Initially there was a problem with his credit card Merchant not showing my payment.

He sent me another e-mail just an hour later, saying that he had verified the payment and that he is going to ship the watch on monday.

I'm very happy with his response. He has come through as many of you expected here.

Now all I have to do is wait to receive the watch.

One last note. I understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I absolutely respect that.

TheLawnmowerman mentioned a couple of things which even though might have been a little harsh but was a concern to him. I absolutely respect that.

So What we must remember is that we are all here to share the absolute truth about our experience with the dealers and the products so that not only ourselves but even the newer people coming here to the forum have access to a more complete guide of the replica world.

I want to thank everyone for stating their experiences and concerns about this particular scenario even the Lawnmowerman!

This will only help everyone to understand how things work and what to expect in the future!

Once I have received the Watch I will post pictures and draw a final conclusion.

  2. I'm sure Angus is a Good Business man. He Certainly did something right to get on the Dealer List. I Respect that, that's why I purchased from him.

If I'm going to spend my money, I want to get the most for it, just like anyone would. In this particular case I don't feel that the service provider appreciates my business. Therefore I will spend my money at places that I feel as if it meant something to the service provider.

Is Angus a Bad Dude? No. He is just probably overlooking certain things because of the reputation he think he has. What do I think?

Honestly I don't care. That's what he believes to be right. No Problem, I say... I just don't agree. Does that make me correct? No... But all I know is

that it's inconvenient. And what is money for? To make things Convenient. Therefore my money hasn't served it's purpose here.

So I'm going to take it somewhere that it will.

    Back to Reality on this....

If Angus had sent a Mass email with the Single Click of a mouse button to his customers saying "I'm Back from Vacation, I am aware of your Orders, I will sort through them and get back to you..." This whole deal would not have happened.

Bottom Line: Good Business man, Bad Business Practice.

  3. Hi Everyone,

I tried to place an online order on Angus's website for a ROO Ultimate SS Black on the 13/08/08 but the transaction failed to go through when it came to the payment (technical issues with website) so I emailed him puretime2005@gmail.com asking for an alternate payment method.

I actually got a reply back later that evening from that same email account giving me detailed instructions in regards to making the payment via paypal.

I have yet to make the payment and now am very apprehensive in doing so after reading this thread.

    Best Regards,

    TonyDill

    Hey Tonydill,

If I were you I would wait to see what the outcome of this will be. I'm going to give him 24 more hours. If no Response I'm Going to

Call my credit card company and get my money back and continue to do my business with JOSH.

I have bought a few reps from Josh and his service and Product Quality is Consistently Top Notch. I would Definitely Recommend him for your

    purchase.

  4. Nothing here either. 3 of my last 3 watches from him have been DOA and I'm not getting a response.

    hmmm...

Are you serious! When did you order the watches? When did you send him e-mails? How long have you been waiting for a response?

Man... this is worrying me.... :(

  5. So I made my first purchase from Angus last Thursday. Along with a Purchase from Josh which I received On Monday from Josh.

But No News from Angus. My Payment has gone through from my credit card. He said he would be out on Vacation until the 12th.

So I figured maybe he has been bogged down with e-mails. He hasn't responded to any of my e-mails as of today the 15th and no news

of a watch that I paid for last week on Thursday, not to mention the Extra fee for fast shipping I paid for!

From What I hear, He is a trusted Dealer. I'm Sure he is. I'm just wondering why he isn't responding at all.

I have 3 more days before I can dispute the transaction on my Credit Card & get my money back! Don't want to do it, but I paid a good bit for the watch that

    I have no news on!

    Guys any suggestions?! :wounded1:

  6. Alright Guys,

So I've come to a conclusion that I want to get a PAM rep. I love the 252. It seems like a great rep.

My only concern is the Asian Movement. As a person who only purchases Reps with Swiss movements, I'm a

little concerned about the 252's asian GMT movement!

Does anyone have this rep with a swiss movement?

If not, what is the quality of the asian Movement like and since there is a GMT hand, does this reduce the reliability of this movement?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  7. I am a Legal Document Service provider and work with Law Firms in Wash DC every day. I'm always paying attention to peoples wrists.

I see alot of Rolexes. Especially Submariners and GMT Masters.

I had seen some Omega's as well but I never had seen a Panerai. I just think that Panerai is for more sophisticated people.

Yesterday I was meeting with an attorney from a Very Profitable Firm in DC and took a look at his wrist and there it was!

A Panrai GMT North Pole edition!

It was gorgeous and Huge! I had no doubt it was real, since the guy happened to be a Partner.

I'm getting me one of those. The Rep of course!

Atleast until I can afford a GEN!

  8. Matt24,

Here is my advice for you and all Rep Noobs. When you look at the Trusted dealer list, you are looking at a great list of Rep Suppliers in terms of service and Quality. Considering that 99% of Rep websites on the net are Scams, I consider myself lucky to have access to this list.

Now, remember that when you purchase A Rep you are taking a risk with the money you paid for it. So be prepared to run into problems once in a while. There are no Quality Check standards on Reps like there GEN counterparts.

I have purchased things from Josh in the past and have had a great experience with him and his products. In fact my reps are still running well with no problems. But the reason they are running well is because I did 1-3 months of research on the Reps I had in mind before I purchased.

See this is something I don't understand. When a Person Wants to buy a $400 Flat screen TV. They will do months of research before they buy. And this is on products that are GEN and have warranties. But when it comes to Rep watches people come in and rush into a $400 purchase. There are no guarantees or warranties on this stuff, so don't rush do your due diligence.

Now Here is what I learned through My research as a general Rule, Perhaps a Golden nugget for the Newbie.

Notice what FxrAndy just said. "Buy a Noob Sub". This is a guy with experience, You can tell. Because he understands this rule I'm about to describe.

Here it goes. Every Dealer has It's Good and Better Replicas.

For Example, If you wanted to get a Submariner Rolex Maybe you should have gone with Eurotimez with an MBK or Noob Sub.

    Take a look at this.

Again this is a part of your research. Another example are Omegas. You have dealers who have good Reps of these and Dealers who have Better Reps.

For example Josh is good for these and Silix. Silix is also good on the breitlings. He seems to get stuff sooner and is on top of the breitling stuff. Take a look at his

heritage 46 for example. He is the first and only guy to have the Rubber Strap for this model, Since the Rep Leather quality is not good. This is appealing to Experts

and can only be known through research.

    Hope you catch my drift.

So how do you find out this stuff. By reading reviews of people who buy reps. Also doing a moderate amount of research and learning on what watch Movements are and what are some good watch parts.

So when you look at the Noob Sub and MBK Sub you will see some differences in Parts mainly. And based on what you see, you decide what is more important for you.

finally Eurotimez also offers a Quality Check, when you purchase from him. He charges a bit more than others but when you get your rep you know he has checked it for flaws and also verified the Movement for you.

So Remember that you have Good Reps and Better Reps. How do you get your hand on the better ones. Either through research or Luck. I'd rather choose the First!

    Hope this Helps Bud.

  9. i would have expected aliens from neptune to be a little brighter :g::bleh:

every rep has its flaws; pams are no different. the good thing about panerai is that they come in so many different varieties. choose one you like and go for it. if you're trying to make sure people won't know you are wearing a rep, remember that 95+% of people won't be able to tell your panerai from a patek, and those that do know something about watches will likely be able to tell yours is a rep (not necessarily on the wrist, but certainly if you take it off and hand it to them).

    hope this helps :victory:

    deltatahoe

Helpful Indeed my friend. The Patek and Panerai Mixing up thing is new to me.

  10. Research...............................search...................................

research!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then it's up to your taste! Watches are like women; they both have the same purpose; they have movement....women have pus.....; they have lumes, women have breast; they both have faces but they dont appeal to the same person; etc., etc., etc. They have to appeal to you!!!!!!!!

So, search the PAM area and search some more......and good luck!

    Hike

Hike so tell me you got the SSD because you liked it and not because, it is probably the Best Rolex Rep Ever Made?!!

Come on Man, I know Reps, I own some. I haven't been into Panerai, just getting into it.

You come out to a Rolex Rep Expert and say what's the best Rolex Rep, straight up you get SSD!!

Ask a Breitling Rep Expert what is the best Rep out there Now, and they will say the SO Heritage 46 and the runner up SOSF!

So Now You as a PAM Expert, I ask of you what is the Best PAM Rep out there? You Have to have some Idea of what is One of the Best, Right?

I'm asking for your Opinion? And to back it up with what you think is a good reason for your opinion. Nobody is going to hang you for it.

And yes Aliens Are Smart, but I'm not one! :p
