Bump. Anyone?
-
I know. The V2 I think used a different movement with a lower crown position like the 2836, the V3 used a higher crown position movement (2824). Some people have put the V3 dial and movement into a V2 case....wondering how that's possible
-
So we know that the WM9 V3 is an awesome watch....but the recessed crown totally kills it!
I reviewed some members used a V2 case (or similar) to fix the recessed crown issue with good results. But I can't seem to figure out one thing:
The ETA 2824 movement in the V3 has a higher crown position than the 2836 or similar. The V2 case used the movement with a lower crown position, then how is the 2824 movement able to fit it without bending the stem?
Is there any correct case I could implement to my V3? Anyone got one?

Can someone help me source one? Or a dealer that will sell one separately?
Looking for the engraved version. I contacted replicamake, but he refuses to sell one unless i buy a watch from him.
-
I'm in for one if they're still available.
txcollector please check your PM
Any issues with the double A/R scratching off over time?
-
I don't think you'll bother once you get it.
It just needs to be oiled.
-
I just bought a 4th gen under a month ago from Andrew at Trustytime.
He only had the orange bezel one though.
-
Bump- can someone elighten me to the above?
-
simply no!
I don't get it. I thought the screw hole in the V2 case would be slightly lower than the V3 case..making the tube and then the crown sit slightly lower.
I have a V3 and wouldn't mind doing this mod, but I like the height of the crown in my watch- want to keep it there.

I broke my bezel assembly on my SMP Chrono and need to get another one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Can be rep or gen as long as priced reasonably.
-
Done- thanks.
If only I knew about that months ago! lol

Do I have to upgrade my membership to Standard or Platinum?
Sorry, dont know who to contact

ETA is a brand of movement. The swiss ETA is the real swiss made ETA movement, the Asian ETA is a copy of the Swiss ETA.....essentially they're the same, just one is gen ETA and the other is replica ETA. They work the same otherwise. Same sweep and everything.

When going from the V3 case to the V2 case, doesn't the crown position drop again?
-
This isn't the first time this has happened to this watch because it was broken once before. I think the rotor was lose but I didn't fix it so I am not sure. Anyway, it runs good and is an ETA so those usually come oiled and ready to go. I wore it all night last night and it died before I woke up, six hours of life. My Rollie and Tags can go much longer then that. Also, when I was getting it going to wear it, it wouldn't start, then I unscrewed the crown and it started, very odd. It the movement just beat up or do you think I should get it looked at.
Get it looked at, i had the same problem with my ETA SMP rep. would barely hold 6 hours. turns out water seeped into it (a lot of water). Got it cleaned up from a local watch smith costed about $40. and now it runs like a champ

Does this bezel have 120 clicks or 60 clicks and also are the bezel teeth fairly sharp/easy to grip?
And does the bezel come lined up properly (with the lines going into the teeth) or does the insert have to be re-aligned

When is the new completion/ delivery date now?
I've been waiting for mine seems like forever---feels like the wait for the YM all over again
-
I have a GMT CHS for sale for much cheaper if u want it
I hardly wear it cause I wear my Euromariner mostly.
I noticed when I did use to wear it everday it worked fine, but when I wear it once in a while, it sometimes sticks.

Anyone know if the "new" style Daytona is going to be released at all?
Looks like all the Rolex models are being revamped, and am wondering if I should buy the current Gen or holdout till a new style comes out
-
BK on these forums will be selling the WM9 Version when it's released (check www.watchmaker9.tv). But it wont be available for a few months
Other than that, look up the euromariner TT (eurotimez.com) It's hands down the closest to Gen available right now. I have a SS Euromariner, and it is really good. (make sure u get it with the WM pearl, and Clarks Crystal)
both BK and Eurotimez can be found on the main forums page if u scroll down

Who carries the V1 WM9 right now? I know he's outta business, but i recall some people still sourcing the v1.
Ya those watches look signifcantly better than the V3 case..I missed the boat with the V2 in anticipation of the V3
