  1. There is something I cannot understand, if the seconds @9 look so good, and in reality have a better movement, why don't they make a dial that has the seconds @12 even thought the hand @9 moves, that way it is cosmetically accurate, just no functionally, really boggles my mind.

Theo, you have an awesome collection, paris boutique looks great, Gen is sec @6 right, would a daytona movement fit this case?

  2. Ok, relatively new to the forum, been reading lots and not really posted so far. But, there has been something that has been niggling me for a few days so i thought i'd ask.

General feeling ( from my understanding so far ) is that we buy the reps because we like the designs of the watches, and NOT that we want to try to pass them off as gens... at least most of us.

So, and specifically within this area of the forum, i'd like to know why there is so much emphasis on the ROO having a Secs@12 configuration when it appears that it is unstable at best with the A7750 used to run it.

Surely, from the perspective of A) appreciating the design and B) wanting a ( relatively ) cheap version of it on your wrist; the position of the seconds dial causes no detriment to the visual design of the watch and will give it a better chance of providing us with a reliable watch for a long time.

Why then? I'd buy an RB11 if i thought it would still work in a years time....

Well, IMO, the Sec@9 doesn't have the same finish, that gen finish, the sec@12 is really well done, and can easily be one of the most accurate reps out there, it doesn't matter that the movement is a time bomb, it looks gorgeous!

  3. I have not fallen in love with many of the HBB's but I was in Geneva today and saw the Black Magic and love it. Timeshop has a version that they are claiming is the ultimate V3 and it looks very similar. What do you think of the product, price and dealer? http://www.timeshops.net/Ultimate_V3_BIG_B...PH_1900-444.htm

Very tempted by one of these.

    Rob

Rob, this is not a black magic

    This is an All Black

And it is not accurate, BTW

  4. Note that the version Prestige is selling has the low beat 7750, and not the high beat version other dealers are offering. Major difference in my book.

I realize it's just personal opinion, but I always found the King version utterly hideous. What is with the fake H-scews on the bezel? It looks like it was designed by Invicta. :)

Not only that, it has a horrible looking crown, don't buy this inaccurate watch!

  5. I have been reading that the movement on the sec@12 is not reliable, this is my next purchase since, I have always been a HBB fan, and want to make the jump to this new AP, steel with white themes is my choice, and I was able to source one from a CONUS dealer for 460, not bad at all on price, just dont want it to breakdown on me in the first six months, anybody had his for more than 6 months without problems, any help would be appreciated!

Also, I have read of the graphite lubrication for daytonas @6 and portuguese @6 as well to improve the movement, can this be done on the ROO?
