  1. [i have many versions of this--white, black, silver, brown, maroon and blue dials. I know, kind of obsessive. The only ones that are close to the gen--which I've seen a number of times at an AD--are blue, black and the correct brown, which is really copper. The one I ordered from Trusty, which was supposed to be brown, was in fact maroon. Gorgeous, and I kept it, but not even close to the gen. The brown one which is close to the gen I ordered from Jay at Silix because he did an impressively detailed photographic comparison of the rep and the gen a year ago and his version looked identical. Took about a month to actually get the watch from Jay, for many reasons, but it does compare very closely. Also, I ordered the rep ocean racer strap in blue and Jay's came with a brown OR, and then ordered just the straps alone from an AD ($77 each, without the clasp.) Then I put the rep clasp on the gen strap and the whole thing is spot on to the gen. FYI, the rep brown OR strap isn't close in color to the gen, and the blue rep OR is off too. I will post pics sometime of all of this.
  2. Where did you get this one? I have the SOH in blue, black, bronze and maroon (the one that is supposed to be brown but isn't) and just ordered a white dial from Mark, but I would love to find one with a green bezel from a trusted dealer. (My luck with scam dealers has been pretty poor--I've been burned trying to find unique fantasy watches that none of the reputable dealers carry.)
  3. http://www.jurgensusa.com/Shop/ I bought a 24 mm "Monster" mesh bracelet from Jurgen USA for my rep SOH Blue Dial and think it is a great mesh bracelet. Jurgens sells one in a 140-160mm size, which will fit you fine. Only problem is that when I tried to order a second one recently, their US Distributor told me that he wouldn't have any 24mm bracelets in until Christmas. If you can wait, they are the only ones I know who will sell the shorter length mesh. Walt at LonestarWatches is the sole US distributor for Staib, which makes a slightly thinner (I think 3.5 mm as opposed to Jurgens 4 mm) 150-170mm bracelet--I have one on order but for some reason they are hard to keep in stock in the US. The SOH and similar watches are big, but my wrist is about 7 1/4 " and the correct band length for me was 155mm, so the Staib that Walt sells still might fit. Otherwise you will have to wait until Jurgens USA gets the shorter band in stock. Great band, BTW, almost as thick as the gen and a very, very nice look on the SOH.
  4. This may be more than anyone cares about with this rep, but I went to an AD today and checked out the bronze SOH Chrono. It is copper/bronze, and absolutely not the same color as the maroon/red dial and bezel on the "brown" SOH Chrono I bought from Andrew. Not complaining necessarily, since Andrew says he is sending me a black bezel and dial that I can have someone else install, but just an advisory that it looks like most of the "brown" SOH Chronos on dealer websites are as red/maroon as they look in pix, and are definitely not true to the color of the gen. The maroon is a pretty watch color and it's tempting to keep it, but if I can find an authentic looking brown SOH--in the same color as the gen-- I might get that too. BTW, the Breitling AD bronze Ocean Racer strap is $410 with clasp, and Walt at Lonestarwatches has, or will have, in stock the 24mm Staib stainless mesh bracelet, which looks pretty close to the SS Ocean Classic official Breitling bracelet. (I previously bought a 24 mm Juergens SS Mesh bracelet, but I have been told they will be out of stock on the 24 mm until Christmas.)
  5. Where did you get your copper SOH? Is it the brown version which looks bronze, like the gen, or the brown version which looks reddish maroon, like a rep?
  6. Never posted a picture, but will as soon as I figure it out. Does your brown look bronze or maroon? My belief, looking at the websites, is that the non-chrono is a different color and closer to the gen than the chrono, even if Andrew says they both come from the same factory.
  7. Thanks for the advice--maybe I will just keep it, since it is a gorgeous watch as is, just not a bronze one. Do you know, or does anyone know, if the regular 46mm SOH --not the new chrono but the "ultimate" that Andrew, Josh, Jay and others sell--is closer in color to the bronze gen? I saw a bronze one at an AD and had to have this one, but unfortunately, the rep in this case doesn't come close to replicating the right color and is very obvious to anyone who knows Breitlings.
  8. To add to this saga, Andrew offered to send me a black bezel and dial. I have bought a lot of watches from him, so I was a little surprised he didn't offer to make an exchange, or find the one in the right color. Any thoughts on this? Should I accept the black bezel and dial and get a watchsmith to to the replacement? Or can I find a gen bezel and dial in the right color and have that done? I need help here!
  9. I just received my Breitling SOH Chrono from Andrew at TT-beautiful rep, nice AR and nice feel (I already have a blue SOH). But the color isn't brown, or bronze, but a very dark reddish brown. The only SOH I have seen at an AD is actually brown, or brownish bronze, not red, so I am wondering if the factory got the color wrong on this version. Any thoughts? Is there a brown SOH out there that accurately replicates the color of the gen brown dial/bezel SOH? And if so, where do I get it? This is a very pretty rep--and I have a number of reps--but I am afraid it isn't close to the gen. Anyone have any thoughts or advice?
  10. Does anyone know where to find a V. 2 /Ultimate Edition Chrono Evo with a blue dial, gold subdials and gold case? I've seen it in forums, and Angus had one but is sold out, and it looks like Josh may be too. Is the factory not shipping these now? I've tried the usual sellers (the ones I trust--I bought a rep from a dealer who is NOT in this forum and learned my lesson) but no one seems to have one. The combination of gold and blue looks stunning, and I have 8 Breitling reps and 2 gens, but none in gold and blue! Help would be appreciated.
  11. Can you make one for me, per the specs you described? Tjat is, a swiss version with solid case + sapphire with a genuine alligator strap ($100) swiss made deployant buckle ($40) and a decorated swiss movement ($229) and the blue gears are flame blued by hand from Jochen Benzinger ?
