The Thinkpad T60 with 100GB and 3GB for $399 is the best bang for your buck I see on the page.

I have had many laptops over the years and have had nothing but trouble with Toshiba and HP/Compaq, Dell is ok but I haven’t had one last more than 2 years. I have been using nothing but ThinkPad as my personal computer for at least 6 years, they are a little pricy but last forever. I got a new X200 Tablet last year and gave my T60 (4 years old) to my son. It needed a hard drive wipe and a new install of windows but the thing is still running like a champ. This is just my opinion and I am sure you will find most everyone will have a different one. My wife uses a Mac and loves it but it had to go in to the shop 2 weeks ago (6mos out of warranty) because it wouldn’t turn on. It turned out to be a bad logic board and cost $200… WTF

I had the same problem trying to watch Top Gear off the BBC website a year or so ago. I think it said something about not being in Europ.

Incompetence plays a big part from what I have seen. On three separate trips to three different AD’s I have run into sales people who has no idea what they were talking about. the only one who would admit it was at the Rolex AD, and she went and got the watchmaker who spent 15 to 20 minutes answering my questions. I was very impressed with the Rolex people, but the prices for used items was ridiculous.

Did anyone else watch the new Top Gear America? I am a big fan of Top Gear, and although I thought the New American version would be a giant dog turd (as franchised tv shows usually are). I have to admit, this wasn’t bad. Buzz Aldrin was the guest for their “Big Star Small Car” segment and I couldn’t help but notice he was wearing two watches. He had an Omega Seamaster Pro on his left wrist, and what looked like a Gold Speedy on his right.

+1 for the 2 Rolexs I have to say I like the look of the all ceramic Bang but I would never spend the money on a gen, I just don’t see it. To tell the truth the rep is at the bottom of my list because I think it is too much $ for what it is, I may get one someday but it won’t be soon.
