  1. After y'all confirmed my suspicion that my 3.0 mm thick crystal just didn't look right (kind of an understatement) I replaced it with a ofrei generic 2.25mm crystal and put on a new cheap e-Bay (jandkwatches) bezel insert while I was at it. The crystal doesn't have quite as beveled an edge as I'd like but looks OK when not under extreme magnification. Cost of crystal was around $3.00 and the e-Bay insert was $10.40 shipped. It's not perfect but much better than it was and I think this pearl is a perfect candidate for the "epoxy" mod. After the epoxy and a little final polishing and I think I've done about all I can without breaking my self-imposed $60 total project limit. Time to order another one, I guess! ;)

Want to double your money? That thing is cool as hell!

  2. Hey,

Sorry about your unfortunate situation out there in the heart land. Good news about the 50 however! And don't forget the Paci save with the cleaner! Keep your chin up and know that I am praying for a speedy recovery for your family as well as all the other families affected by the flodding. God bless!

  3. Hey Guys,

What do you think of this strap for a 45mm PO? I made this one for a gentleman in California and I wanted it to be a bold, thick strap so it would mate well with the big watch. I double stitched it, but I think I might have went too far on the keeper... He can always turn it to the inside! Please let me know what you think of my work!

In the photos I have it mounted to my Seiko 007 for reference. I think it looks good on it as well!

  4. Hey Guys,

I thought I would post a couple of straps I made this past week. They are both 155 x 90 x 24. The tan strap is super soft and 6mm thick with one wide floating keeper. The black strap is 5mm thick, stitched with chocolate colored thread and has 2 keepers; one stitched in and another floating. Sorry for the crappy pics... If anyone is interested, PM me...

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  5. Buy a safe! Get a quality item like a Cannon, Liberty, Browning, etc... Get as big a safe as you can afford, becuase you WILL fill it up! Also a big safe is a deterrent to a thief due to the size. I have said before if a thief can pick my safe up and take it, then he can have it, because he is definately a bad ass! (Just kidding about that one!)

About the dog; any dog is a good idea as long it will BARK when something alarms it. It dosen't have to be a huge ass-chewer, but if it barks and lets the intruder know that something is in the house that could bite him or cause him to get noticed by someone else he may think twice. Just my two cents...

  6. Hey Guys,

I recently bought a 007 Seiko with both the rubber and SS oyster bracelet. I really like the watch with the SS. It is a very soild piece, with awesome lume, and I would recommend it to anyone as a key piece for their collection. I have several watches and get just as many admiring comments from the 007 as my Breitling Chrono Avenger or my LV sub. The Seiko is good stuff...
