Lol, I've got the DW V72 kit, with the extra 6265 bezel, but haven't bought the movement yet. Just when I get close to funding the purchase, I end up buying another watch or sending one out to get modded!
I like it. I'm going to do the same when I get mine back from Joe. Here it is before I sent it to Joe for case shaving, genuine Tropic 21, and larger spring bars.
I used the bottom end cap of a D-Cell Maglite and a crystal press. The cap was a perfect fit over the T127 crystal and was deep enough to accomodate the height of the crystal.
I'm a bit lazy right now . . . what model # is the one with the second hand?
Beautiful watches. But, what catches my eye is the thick, crisp crown on the one with the second hand - nice!!
Yeah, that's the ugliest thing I've ever seen. You should probably send it to me and I'll spare you the stigma of having to wear such an abominable piece. It should be a fairly even trade for that horrid strap that I sent you.
(just kidding - let me know if you ever want to sell it!!!! it's frickin' gorgeous!!)
It is not a physician thing - that is silly.
There's nothing wrong with posting a WTB in the trading section of the forum, perhaps under 'straps and bracelets.' Otherwise, try Classicwatchparts, or Timeman.net. Just put the request in the correct section, that's all.
Yeah, just like my Marina Militare '40' - screws on both sides. The long screw has a threaded hole at the end. The short screw threads into that hole. It makes strap changes kind of tedious, but I like the symmetric look of two screw heads on both sides of the watch.
I just received a beautiful 111H from Maxmsu (pics later). The strap is held to the case by screw assemblies, each using one long screw that threads into a tiny screw. However, one of my small screws has a slightly large head and does not sit flush in the lug. Anyone know where to purchase replacement screw assemblies? Thanks.
Thomasng. I hope it all works out for you. I've been in that situation before and it is a horrible feeling. Sounds like you've opened yourself to options, even to go so far as to move to another country. You'll land on your feet soon enough. Good luck.
