  1. Please - any comments on this dial from NDT - i want a better GW dial than the MBW one. Genuine One One from TX What do you all think?
  2. Hey - forgot - what do you think about this ND dial for the GW? I have been looking for a better one than the MBW one. This looks surprisingly good. Comments please. Of course the ND price is crazy.
  3. You know - the more I look at that 1665 case back - it is not that great. I still want one of course. Also - do you guys think that lug hole sizes are already correct? I can't tell.
  4. Does your 1665 have a "working He valve"? It sort of looks like it does....
  5. But the question still stands - can you fit an auto movement in a Jimmy fu case? From what I am hearing - you might be able to - but it will require a different deeper caseback?
  6. I am in for this case. Yes - i will have to buy all the other parts - but that is ok with me. However, there is no way i am willing to pay ND prices when i know they are worth perhaps half that. I believe that the HRV valve on this one is "working".
  7. bbell6 - i love this mini fidy case. In fact - this is the watch that I am trying to find a nonbranded dial for. I currently have a cali dial which will fit - but was hoping for something else. right now - i am considering this dial from DSN - The one on the left. But i was really hoping to find a nice 44MM dial, non branded, that has the seconds in use. Other than the price and the dial - i think that the minifiddy is a great watch. Perfect look.
  8. i tried homer and i did not ask if he would only sell the dial. But the way his e-mail was written - i doubt it.
  9. Hey everyone - not sure if everyone else has had the same thoughts as myself. But, i am more and more interested in the non-branded panerai dials - especailly since the rep makers can not seem to get the "Panerai" word done with the appropriate "A";s etc. Does anyone know a dealer that is willing to just sell the dials? I have see non branded 111's, californias, and even 063 dials. I am really after a non-branded 063 dial. The one dealer that I contacted wanted ~$400 for the non-branded watch and i really just wanted the dial. Can anyone offer any help?
  10. i like it. Can you order it online?
  11. what does it look like (new, old, original with working HEV, etc). Then we can give you suggestions.
  12. Great thread. I love collecting these reps. My wife thinks I am nuts "who ever heard of a person who liked to collect fake items?" she says. Of course she just does not get it. It is the fun of beating the system, improving something which is flawed, tinkering, enjoying the design.... I have only one Panerai. A 063 GMT with a low cross bar A. It is the most beautiful PAM in my opinion. I have modded it to the max with everything that the forum has to offer. Gen movement, Cyclops, datewheel, lume, etc. BUT - the one thing I can not fix - those cursed low cross bar A's. Curse you rep manufacturers!!!!! ARGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH! Too funny. Am I trying to fool someone else? Nope. Trying to fool myself. Cheers!
  13. Amplitude - i just got mine with the 28K beat. I agree, as I was examining it, the bracelet is a very good attempt at a copy - but to your point - the clasp attachments seems to be the weak point. It looks as if it is glued on. Did you ever electric weld yours? How hard is that to do. I am afraid that it is going to snap and that i will be left with a useless bracelet. How has your held up?
  14. The Zigmeister, Now I am wondering if I shouldn't have asked you to do this for mine as well. Really really nice.
  15. I will buy ANY panerai that has a correct dial. So if we can get one commissioned - i am IN. It is insane that the other reps on the board of Breits, IWC, etc are soooo good and these are so pathetic.
  16. I am not sure that is GEN. Have a look at the 200M. The "m" is a potential problem.
  17. The biggest flaw is the lack of the HE valve on the left side of the watch. It is pretty distinctive looking on the gen.
  18. If there is enough volume - then it should not be too expensive. Check out krysworks. Also - i know that there is some place out there which will actually replicate any crystal (might have been in mineral glass only though). I can't remember. Lets hope that bk can get this made. The factories should be willing to do it since it actually would not be infringing on anyone anyway.
  19. I know - i know. I did threadjack. I won't PM The Zigmeister because I know how busy he is. On the off chance he had the time to read this - he could answer. No worries. Sorry about the jack...
