  1. Those look really nice. I am going to check them out. Thanks for the pics.
  2. I have been a regular customer of Watchpool on ebay for some time. The other day - i was going to check out his wares, and his inventory was cut DRAMATICALLY. Like - from 400 dials to perhaps 40. Anyone know what happened to all of them? I hope he is ok.
  3. Great review and great close up pictures. My big thought is: can these datewheels and crystals be purchased to fix our old watches!

  5. Well - i guess it sounds like 7754 or stay away. Too bad.
  6. This was kind of my point. In fact - why bother with the Sub at all. i am with the other that say - go after the contemporary Seadweller case. Nothing comes close and many would be interested. 2836 should be made to fit. that is the ticket.
  7. Would love to have a discussion on what it takes to add the GMT hand to the 7750. There are a number of these out now - the 89's and 169's. What was done to these movements and how easy is it to change the GMT hand. Can the GMT hand be changed independant of the others? Moreover - is this reliable. Can it be fixed when it inevtiably fails?
  8. Here is a closer one. Note the different fonts. Anyone got a big/higher resolution picture of the same thing?
  9. Bump - still asking for help on this....
  10. Thanks for the data. out of curiosity - what do you think of the quality of the jdm dials? Are they close?
  11. Thanks for the update! Can't wait. Please save one for me.
  12. I know this is going to sound stupid - but is it possible to replicate the real 1680 case (assumeing that someone has one to lend) but make the inside set to accept a 2846. Also - I assume that it could be made with the lugholes the right size and in the right place? The other thing that is really missing from our collective arsenals are good 680 endlinks and an acceptable vintage bracelet. For such a small thing (2MM accepting 680 endlinks) i am really surprised that they are so hard to come up with.
  13. There is a 1680 dial on the bay from jdm_k20 for the 1680. Does anyone know this seller - and what do you think of his re-dials? Any good? Very expensive at $350. I have searched from jdm_k20 on the forum - but the results were inconclusive. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
  14. We need all of the numbers. It would be best to get a full picture of the entire datewheel.
  15. I absolutely was talking about the 7750 datewheels - for the new Evo and the older Avengers. Here are pictures so that people understand the differences with standard ETA's. You can see that they are larger and take up more of the datewindow in the lower numbers. I am really glad that we are all thinking about the same thing. Whomever has a high res scan......
  16. Can anyone help point in the right direction of getting a high resolution image of the Breitling datewheel for a 7750. Looking to get image so that datewheels can be made. Thanks!
  17. I bet that many of us are sending them to the Zigmeister. If we can purchase them and have them directly sent to The Zigmeister - that would be great!
  18. I love the look of this watch - but I will not go near that seconds at 6 problem with a 10 foot pole. Not until they get some other movement where that is the natural layout.
  19. Now that all of us have these great Breitlings like the Avenger, EVO, etc that are 7750 based, who is going to do the 7750 Breitling Datewheel font project? If you look closely - the lower numbers 3,4,5, etc are not the same as the ETA datewheels. They are much bigger. Datewheels, overlays, anyone?
  20. I think that JohnD23 is correct. The watch is a looker - but the dial is wrong. This is not the slate grey version. Only one BCE has the red lettering - the graphite verison. The subdials are supposed to be graphite as well - not black. I think that the dials got a little mixed up. The slate grey version with grey subdials is probably actually the graphite version but with white lettering. Anyway - that is how this all looks to have turned out. some slight discrepancies. if you want the graphite coloring - get the grey version. You will just avhe the wrong markers and no red lettering. Let me know if anyone agrees. Maybe i am just seeing things
  21. Great looking watch! Where did you get the aftermarket midlink bracelet? Any pics you can offer? I have one - but the rolex crown symbol is off and not believable.
