  1. tried it on today at the AD...guys it's a beauty !! It has more personality than my gen 16600 and absolutely worth the price (close to 2000 discounted ). The perfect watch If you like the vintage taste, want a gen and can t afford to spend 10k (up) on a vintage Rolex or even on a vintage Tudor. Not to mention this is the perfect daily beater and no worries to take it down in the water (wouldn't dare with a vintage piece) Definitly my next watch.

I find it hilarious that you refer to a gen Tudor Black Bay as a 'daily beater'  :gun2:

  2. I'm looking to get my first Rolex rep, will be a bit of a tester for me and may buy a more worthy model later if I like the first. So am after a little advice on which dealer does the best No Date Sub, just a 21J will do as long as it's decent case/look.

    Any ideas much appreciated.

  3. I'd buy the 42mm PO from Trevor. Best price for a model with an Asian 2824.

Narikaa (Reg) always had the best low budget PO's. He's no longer a dealer here as of last month but it would be worth tracking him down, especially if you're in the EU. His PO's are all with 21j movements and they were going for about $68 or so last time I bought one.

    Thanks, I'll look into those.

  4. I am thinking of buying my first Rep after lurking for a while. I want a Pam 111/112 or similar. I'm a little nervous about spending too much on my first buy and my only Reps in the past have been street purchased in Hong Kong and Thailand and have been $30's worth of junk that usually fell apart before returning home.

So I noticed that a few of the dealers have "Beginner" & "Lite" versions of the Panerai watches for roughly half the current popular versions of the 111n etc. Are these better than the tat I have bought from shady guys on the street in Mong Kok? I'm kinda torn between going for Noob 111n or one of the "beginner" models to see how I feel.

    Any advise much apreciated.
