  1. Yes, when I spin the rotor with my finger those two small gears rotate. It doesn't feel like there is any resistance but when the caseback is on and i rock the watch back and forth there is this horrible noise. it almost sounds like a scraping, although that may be too strong a word to describe it. It's similar to the noise the A7750 in my skyland rep makes, but in that watch I can feel the rotor rotating lots after one 'swing' of my hand. In the UPO it feels like it goes around by like half, and the noise is much louder. The rotor does not feel free. The rotor spins freely when i rock the watch with the caseback off, but it does not spin a lot; at max maybe 2 rotations. It was sold to me as being a clone movement. I figured when it kicked the bucket I could just have domi replace it with a real swiss movement and maybe a gen tube and crown. To me, it seems like there is a lack of lubrication or something in the rotor. But i'm no watchsmith. I Forgot to mention, there is this little "anti magnetic iron" cover that goes over the movement. perhaps this is causing the problem? As a little aside question, what is the best way to get rid of the 'rotor noise' in my A7750 breitling rep?
  2. OK I will tighten them when I get home. Although when the watch was open, I tried to wind it by moving the watch, and it just refused to turn the whole way! Again, I have QC pics of the watch running fine, so I guess it must have been damaged in shipping?
  3. Hey, along with my 177 I got an UPO for my brother. It is the asian clone movement. The watch works fine when manually wound, but the rotor does not spin freely. the most it gets is half a turn and about 30 seconds of power reserve. Is this an easy fix? do i just grease the rotor bearing thingy? what kind of lube/oil/grease do I use? thanks guys
  4. I just want some logo loving! oh well, I guess I Should just hope the hublot factory releases a 000 after cny
  5. My first pam rep is the new 177L. Everything I love about it: the dial, the lume, the snap sound the crown guard makes when you close it, and how tight it is, are these things not usually there in stock panerai replicas? if so, that sucks. I've got my eye on a 000, but not if it's not like my 177L should I even bother?
  6. Yeah parcelforce sucks so bad. The last two times they have delivered reps to me they have been damaged during shipping.
  7. haha this is just like when I graphite lubed my seconds @ 6 daytona... But it still hasn't lost a minute. I guess my jungle watchsmithing worked
  8. hehe i think I fixed it. I pulled that spring pretty far and stretched it. it looks much bigger and it's motion is smoother and longer now. Hasn't lost or gained a minute for 2 hours or so. much better than before. Also, the movement in this rep is pretty sub standard. I'd rather get it replaced with a swiss or an asian high beat with the correct swan neck than have it serviced.
  9. Oh I guess that wasn't the problem. I lef the watch over night and it's an hour fast now :S
  10. Yes! I looked closer with my helping hand and i saw one coil touching another. Banging the watch did not fix it though, so i stuck my screwdriver in and pulled them apart a bit. It's running better now. I have not had very long to observe it though. Thanks for the help guys!
  11. Kind of a silly question, but my 177 is crazy fast (4-5 minutes an hour), How do I regulate it?
  12. So i've been wearing my 177L for a couple of days, and I have noticed it runs very fast, almost 4 minutes an hour. When I woke up this morning, it was 40 minutes ahead! So I opened it and moved that little dagger towards the minus (-) sign, but this seems to have had no effect. How am I meant to regulate it properly? I mean, something like 1 minute deviation a day, I can live with, but 5 minutes an hour! I don't think so.
  13. so you ran out of cash when you got to the buckle and strap?
  14. nice. I received it today, and I have to say that the leather is very nice, if a bit stiff. but it has already started to soften up and i've only been wearing it for an hour or so. Having said that, the only other rep leather I have to compare it to came with a faux chrono planet ocean and was fake orange alligator. This strap is lightyears ahead of that one.
  15. "I want to take his face... off!" Nicholas Cage, Face Off
  16. Ok thanks. I'm really thinking about my shiny new 177L. So there is a lot of lume I guess! Just wanted to see if I could get it brighter with a daylight charge rather than my desk lamp.
  17. Does how the lume has been charged affect the brightness and length of the luminosity? i.e. if I charged my watch lume with daylight, will it stay lumey for longer than if I charge it with a regular incandescent lamp, or an LED light? thanks for reading.
  18. there was a dealer on RWI offering clone rollies for about $120. I don't know if the promotion is still running though.
  19. wow I need to start going to police auctions. The guy got it for less than some of the reps here!
  20. apart from the strap are there any comments on this watch?
  21. maybe i'll post in a bit when my UPO and 177 arrive!
  22. lucky mine is in the post! might even arrive tomorrow!
  23. OK I have it narrowed down to a rolex explorer and the cartier tank. I'll probably get her both to be on the safe side white tank and black explorer methinks.
