Thanks for the write up. This certainly puts things into perspective. There are plenty of people who nitpick over the tiniest flaws on a rep and theynwoul have a heart attack if they ever got this one in the mail.

Yep. I browse the forums on my phone while pushing my toddler in the stroller. If it wasn't so difficult to push and type on the tiny touch screen keyboard and risk crashing into people I'd be posting as well...

If it's a good deal and you like the watch, just buy it. I've been looking at those sites myself. I even briefly considered that square Tissot yesterday...

I've bought plenty of watches from Mark and he's very reputable. And you don't have to bug him about a tracking number as he sends it automatically.

As far as the UPO goes, make sure you tell him that's the exact one you're looking for, especially the logo. Ask him to send him a picture of the watch before he sends it out so you can verify. He's sent me a pic in the past to make sure I'm happy with bezel alignment.

He gets watches from the same factories as everyone else so if the logo is changed etc he will just get whatever the factories are producing at that moment.

I saw it last night. Very interesting but it didn't strike me as having enough "handmade" components for a 6-figure watch. In fact, it looked easier than I thought.

The Raymond Weil leather band, on the other hand, took much more effort than I thought.

RG crashed yesterday and a whole bunch of RG'ers pitched a tent here for a while. It's back up and running now but a day or so of PM's and posts have been lost. Some people who don't log in often are freaking out because they thought their posts got deleted. Others don't know who they sold their stuff to etc

OK, I asked this question on repgeek and what are the chances that both forums would be getting together like this, so I'm taking advantage -

right now I'm leaning toward buying the Chopard chrono and posting a WTB for the Ebel or waiting until someone wants to sell.

I love the Chopard, so that would get my vote. Have you visited the AD to see which watch "speaks" to you more?
