I know this has been done to death, but really. I wish we could agree on calling the watch a franken if it has a gen dial or movement. Having a gen crown/tube or crystal and calling it a franken is like a putting lipstick on a pig and calling it a girl. nothing personal against the folks who're currently listing their "frankens" for sale, but i just feel so cheated when i click on a post only to find the so-called franken has nothing more than a gen crown/tube.

It's a sec at 12 i guess? Those have problems inherent to the movement. Time was, there was a dude that did some graphite treatment on it, but he went the way of amelia earhart (sp?)

Gorgeous. But having gone so far down the line, what with a gen 1560 movement, why not go the whole nine yards and put a gen dial in there? If not for a gen dial, i don't usually hunt down gen movements for my frankies

Yup i'm the guy that bought the gmt2c franken! I added a gen ceramic insert to it to complete the picture! All the same, the 16520 is in a different league. You're trading it in with your friend or? Ubi's 16520 was the watch that started me on my franken quests!
