  1. Well said Ken... @MVB Good luck mate... thanks for everything. All the watches are running chronometer standard!
  2. I keep on switching between my black sub and 111h... it drives me nuts sometimes. Go with the sub if you want convenience of a self winder and knowing what the date is when someone ask you. Go with the PAM if you prefer uniqueness (how many of you know people outside these forums that wear PAMs?) and if you're tired of people asking you "Is that real?". You'll just hear them go "Wow, that's a big watch! What is it?" "A Panerai..." "A Pana what?" "Never mind..." I love the PAM because I love basic movements. They basically have a pocket watch movement... if you don't beleive me, turn the watch with the crown faced up and imagine the "12" marker is below the crown. See what I mean... I just love old school. I love the sub because it looks modern, great for any occasion and also the convenience of auto winder and date. PAM because it's old school... simple as that. You see why it drives me nuts?!
  3. The Zenith and the Breitling for me... I can't afford $50,000...
  4. Luming sandwich dials is trickier than I thought. Be careful not to get any lume on the edges of the markers... it could really look crap when photographed. I had mine lumed but there is too much access lume on the edge of the markers. If your watchsmith is not experienced in luming... it's best to leave it as it is.
  5. If you're worried about the extra gears in the Daytona... go for the Breitling... I love the looks of the Daytonas though...
  6. Nice... congrats... There's nothing like owning a genuine...
  7. I just got my EL Daytona from Eddie too... I wound it up, shook it like a mad cow like Eddie said... started the chrono, let it run for about 4 minutes.... stopped it and pressed the reset button....... VIOLA!!! The hands reset perfectly...
  8. He's going to live in the USA for a couple of years... lucky yous..
  9. Yeah... he's my watchsmith that's leaving...
  10. Sydney members... are there any replica friendly watchsmiths in Sydney? My replica friendly watchsmith and friend will be moving to the states soon... Thanks.
  11. A friend of mine told me a story when he picked up a gal from a club... took her home, he said he got the best BJ he ever had in his life.... Turns out that the gal he took home was a she-MALE....
  12. Yes, that makes a lot of sense... We are still getting good movements... but just not "the best"...
  13. Ahhh... old times... Yes, the ol' "officni" engraving.... I do remember, it's the model after mine.
  14. Can't log on to TRC... can't access RWG1...
  15. Get it serviced and regulated by a watchsmith... should have it running accurately for years to come... Mass produced reps are shipped unserviced, unless noted otherwise. Some dealers offer service... extra charges of course.
  16. I met up with MarrickvilleBoy on a few occasions... he managed to service some of my reps...
  17. Thanks Ken, Unfortunately... she doesn't get much wrist time anymore ever since I got a new PAM 111H, even though I just got it serviced. I think i'll keep her until someone makes me an offer i can't refuse.
  18. Here's a comparison to the genuine... on the left. I just had the watch recently serviced by MarrickvilleBoy, it stoped ticking after 2 faithful years of service. It is now ticking beautifully once again... Thank you again MarrickvilleBoy, for giving me such great service on my reps... and for hopping up and down the steps with your broken ankle to keep up with my demands. Unfortunately... as my daily beater, the hologram has faded... and there's a scratch on the bezel insert. Doesn't matter how careful you are when you wear your watch daily... you WILL scratch it somehow... it's a fact. If you want a watch to be in "mint" condition... don't wear it! Defeats the purpose of a watch... really. Thanks for looking
  19. Here's the movt... Closeup... Rotor removed... beautiful, don't you think?
  20. I picked this one up when I was living in Indonesia a couple of years back. To find a replica of this quality at such a low price there... you need to ask the right questions, to the right persons. As you can see, I was very lucky...
