  1. I'll take pic's and post 'em here...My camera phone sucks, though... Or, did U want pic's of the hottie?
  2. Went into the watch store for some pins for my TW Classic (that i finished working on). I asked for the pins only. The asian sales rep asked if I wanted them to install the bracelet. I said, "yes." It took them about 20 minutes to install the bracelet, as the factory holes aren't lined up perfectly (I'm calling Folex on Monday about this...). I was talking to the hot other sales rep when the original sales lady came back and said they were almost done. The hottie asked what kind of what it was and the asian said, "it's a Rolex replica," in a polite, low voice. She did not want to embarrass me, but I was not embarrassed. I asked them how much they think I paid. The hottie said 20 bucks. Now, that offended me (not really). I said that I paid 200 bucks but that it was a damn good watch. I asked how they knew it was fake. The asian said that they could just tell it ain't real b/c they work with watches (including higher end) all day. The hottie (who was married...of course, I had to ask) asked if I wear it to impress the babes. I said that I wear it to impress upon people that real Rolex's are overrated. I use my charm to impress the babes, and fortunately for everyone here, charm can be replicated at no cost (for a limited time only). (Btw, my watch is so badass now...me happy) Oh, and the total price for all work + cost of pins? 4.00 dollars US
  3. I just need one set, not 10. I've sent stuff free to board members...I'll pay for these though... Thanks friends!!!!!!
  4. I cheaped/lazy'd out and used vaseline on the Oring. I did polish around the areas where the bezel meets the case. Removing the factory "crud" and polishing and a thorough cleaning has now made the bezel move smooth, yet tight. Vaseline: if it's good enough for gays, it's good enough for my Oring.
  5. Thanks, Jet. About the oring, what is that Oring's purpose? Also, should I polish the case where the bezel sits to allow smooth bezel movement or would this create a situation where the bezel wouldn't remain seated?
  6. On second thought, I did not realize that Tudor offered such a variety of models. Maybe there's hope afterall...
  7. I sure do, Cray. Not sure about the quality of the pic's, though. Now, if someone can host them for me, we can post them here....
  8. I don't really like the Tudors. Seems like a poor compromise. If you're going to spend the money, make the stretch and get a Rolex. My opinion only, try not to get offended.
  9. You'll be very happy with your sub, but I def. need to see them pic's b/c I wish to compare my older TW to your new TW Classic. Btw, I am in the process of modding my TW Classic and took some pic's to show. On mine, I removed the bracelet to polish the case correctly, remove tool marks or scratch marks from where-ever they came from, soften the edges, polish the sides. The bezel was not rotating properly, so I was tipped to remove the bezel to clean the crud. I did and decided to polish the bezel while it was off. Since it was all apart anyways, I decided to order a new insert (swiss) for 17 bucks shipped from a company the guys on here recommended. Just waiting for it to come in and install. Hopefully it'll drop in. It's only a question of if the thickness of the OEM and the rep are the same, as the O/D and I/D appear same as genuine. I'll keep you posted on my progress, as you may wish to do the same easy mods. Now, if someone would drill out my case for me....
  10. Some early ones did come with holes in the lugs, from what I understand.
  11. The world has taken a turn for the surreal, indeed. And this is certainly a surreal world.
  12. Exactly. Catagorize in terms of "best value" for a given dollar price range. That is absolutely feasible, pragmatic and would save a lot of folks a lot of headache. For example: 700-1000 dollar price range gets you these models, with these mods and this is what it compares and contrasts to the original 450-700 dollars gets you these... 275-450 dollar budget will get you these... You may include pic's of gen vs. rep as well as what the person will need to do to achieve the above... Does this make sense to anyone?
  13. Thanks for the responses all. The above response made me straight bust up laughing!
  14. Ubiq: That is really useful information. I actually printed out and will consider it a future project. Thanks . @ Marricvilleboy: Don't approach me like you know me. You don't know the research that I am doing before I post. And the best way to learn is to ask. If you don't wish to answer or don't have an answer, then don't. Don't make this board an uncomfortable place for people, especially the noobs.
  15. You see folks, with enough talent, time and attention, we actually can make progress. I agree with your list, Cray. Can't wait to see your pic's Sonystyle...
  16. So, we have MBW, then TW Best, then....(a pattern is emerging)
  17. This is a great board with good members, but I have noobs (and I'm a noob) contacting me out of fear for asking some simple questions. One of them is which ________ is the best. I agree that all reps have pro's and con's, but let's be real, there is a hierarchy that most would agree to. For example, most would consider the MBW 1680 the best. Does that mean Trusty's or Josh's are no good? Not at all, but the most accurate rendition is the MBW. We live in an age of relativism, but let's not go overboard now. We're not looking for the meaning of life or the nature of the universe here. It's a watch, folks, and a mildly retarded copy, at that. I think that a sticky where folks can vote for the top ____________ would be very helpful. (flame suit on)
  18. Why think when I can have you smart folks do the thinking for me. In America, we like to outsource everything, including the thought process. So...
  19. Would like to see what happens...I may just buy this, as well...
