  1. Hi all, about a year ago I bought a beautiful Black/Black Sub from Ilyaylia with some BK mods done to it.I love it and it was worth every cent.

The only think I have a problem with is the lack of AR. I know Rolex Sports watches don't have it but I don't care.

Some say it scratches easily etc but my SOH, Pam both have it and no dramas at all.

Is this something I could have done to my Sub? if it is, who would I talk to?

    Cheers & beers from Oz

  2. Hi BT and another great review.

One question..does your SUB WM9 V2 have a good AR coating on it?

I bought one from Chris at Eurotimez when he was there and was really disappointed with the lack of AR.

It really made the watch look like an el cheapo even though the watch functions perfecly. ( you can see the sort of cloudy reflective look the Sub in the picture has.

Geez a lot has changed in here, have been working in New Zealand for the past year and just havent

had any reason to jump in and have a look around.

I have bought a SOH, A Super lume Pam Luminor Marina with a Gen band and a U-Boat over the last couple of years though and am very happy with them all.

I respect you comments BT and will go with what you say about the AR coating on your new SUB.

Some pics pics of my humble collection.

I look forward to your reply,

    cheers & beers from Downunder

  3. Thanks guys,

yeah it is a tank of a watch but it's fun and very robust. They come in 45mm as well but I thought if i'm going to go big I'll go BIG.

and yes it does come in Automatic, both Angus and Andrew have them plus another dealer called Evalue store sells the non-chrono "Left Hook" Automatic with

not such a busy dial ( same watch but just the hour markers and a date wheel. as per this link:

Here's all the U-Boats that Angus sells. Mine is the "Flight Deck" series but this link will take to all the U-boats he sells

I gotta learn patience, meditation or something.......maybe strong drink might do the trick.

Should be here soon. Will post some pics when she arrives.

  6. Hi All,

I' hope one of you wise people can advise me. I ordered a PAM104 from Angus (my first buy from him) and paid for it immediately

on the 27th (Australian Time) and the funds have been taken from PayPal and I know he's not big on returning emails but I've

heard nothing from him in 3 days.

I emailed him just to confirm the buy and when it will be shipped bit and still nothing.

Any of you guys had the same experience?

I bought a U-Boat from Andrew and he was the opposite......he must sleep on his keyboard, answered every email in a flash.

Any of your experience with this would reaaly help and set my stupid panicking mind to rest !

    Thanks in advance,

    Jim

  7. Success ! I got a little PVC glue and warmed it up a bit and dribbled a tiny bit

into the crack between the bezel and the case, wiped off the excess, let it dry in a nice warm place

and voila! Problem solved. The Bezel is now in the correct position but wont turn unless

I give it a good twist.

I don't care about the fictionality of the Bezel, I have a Gen SMP 2254.50 for that and the Breitling SOH

is a fun thing and only really a look ......so Yee ha.

I still luuurve the blue SOH 46 and it keeps really good time. (gains only around 3 seconds over about 60 hours)

Thanks for all your replies guys and adios from Oz

  8. HI Admin,

I still love the look of the new Forum but am having issues with it being too "wide" if

    that makesany sense.

I'm having to scroll right to get the right hand side of the page.

I've tried it out on other PC's and still the same.

Is it an aspect ratio thing? maybe 4:3 or like widescreen tv which is 16:9?

It's no big deal but with all the great work that must have gone into it it's a shame that the

aspect ratio is not right on.

I notice that others are experiencing the same problem.

Not whining but just alerting you to my little issue.

    Cheers & beers

  9. The bezel on my SOH 46 is really loose and I'm not into pulling watches apart

and was just wondering if it is a thing I can get tightened.

At the moment I've only got to brush it against a rough coat or mateial and around it goes.

Any thoughts or suggestions from you wise gents would be greatly appreaciated.
