  1. I agree with Cheifwiggum, I read, read, & read some more and wnt with Chris at Eurotimez. He's great with emails and if you go to his site and read about his quality control I think you'll find him to be A +. Angus Paul Josh & Ruby are all godd with emails too but as yet haven't done a buy with them. as a First i wnt with a Blacl/Black S.S. Noob Submariner. Go to the links tab at the tob the click on "Dealers Websites" it's all there. You do have to put some hard yards in but "there's no such thing as a free lunch" !!!! good luck Jim (Jimmy T)
  2. Hey TagMatty, do you think I'm nuts! I've just been looking at my wrist with the Gen 2254 onit and it's beautiful.....what am I thinking. I've already ordered a NoobMariner from Chris at Eurotimez. Maybe I should be looking at some thing really different. There's some beautiful Lange & Sohne watches and stuff like that. Have you been happy with your 4th gen you got from Paul? My wife thinks I'm crazy but she has a ton of shoes and handbags and all that girly stuff. I just don't know nut I always have loved Omegas since I was a kid. cheers Jim
  3. G'day Tag', Glad to have another Aussie in here. I do believe the 45 is probably a better thing but as i may have mentioned I bought a Genuine Seamaster Pro 2254.50 in Black/Black and evenat 40mm ex crown it is a big watch on me. I just have this thing for the 4th gen PO @ 42mm. I'm nearly 5'11" in the old scale but I don't have a huge wrist. I just might do the same and go into Watches of Switerland where I bought the SMP, they know mw in there and try on the while bunch like you. I've attached a few pics of my beloved Gen 2254 but at $2K (50th Birthday pres to myself) it's reps from here on. (the one on the black pillow is from another site) Cheers & beers from Melbourne Jim
  4. Hey again TogMatty, I just read my last message I'm sorry 'bout the typo's .......long day and I'm trying to type too fast. cheers Jim T
  5. Hi TogMatty, I've had trouble getting on today......has the site been down ?? Thanks for the tip, I'll junp onto that link and see what Joshua has there. I HATE buyers remorse ! I would hate to compromise on price and refret it later. I think when the Noob Mariner I ordered from Chris arrives I'll check the piggy bank and pull the trigger on a 4th gen 42mm PO. What the hay - we're here for a good time...not a long time" ! chers from Oz Jim T
  6. Hi b16a2, sorry it's taken me this long to get back but I couldn't get on all day. I could get onto the 'net but not this site. I talked to Chris at ET about a 42mm but he said they don't make them anymore but Angus has 4th gen in 42mm at around $318 I think in so called Swiss ETA's. Rolex2u have 21j Asains at $108 USD in 42mm and they look alright - Picture attached I can't decide on orange Bezel or Black. Also Black Bezel /Dial with orange numbers. What do you think? Cheers from Oz Jim
  7. Great stuff Edge & I'm a noob on the block, I've only been here a week or so and have learned a ton of stuff from you guys. apart from the odd question and PM I've found that sitting and just reading the threads can give you so much info that you could not possibly glean from stumbling around site after site like I used to. The only thing I've had a little trouble with is a lot of folk here talk on a first name basis - " I bought a great watch from so & so " and it takes a while to workout who they all are. One of my best friends is the "Links" tap at the top and then on to the Dealers sites. Good stuff, I'm hooked ! Jim T Melbourne Oz
  8. Jawo, You have just said it all, I was a bee's [censored] away from being a rip-off victim by orderinga sub from Swiss Replica Store for $600 or so and I stumbled onto AND into the RWG. I'm only new on the block and i've learned more from these wise & sharing people on this forum in a week than I ever could have in a year. I'm only about a week in & have ordered a Sub from Chris at Eurotimez the other day and even before it gets here I'm looking at a Planet Ocean from who - I don't know yet. It's pretty obvious that all those review sites are run by the companies you mentioned. Like the old saying.... "Have you ever read a BAD resume?" I don't think so. The only thing suffering from all this is my marriage......can't stop logging on to this plethora of knowledge & common sense. Thanks for the Post.........I'll share it with some friends here in Oz (Australia) Jim T
  9. Hi, there are lots of really good people here. I've only been here about a week and learned more in that time then I have done in a year! They're really helpful and not "watch snobs" .....they are all will to help out and impart their collective knowledgebase and steer in what in their opinion is the right direction. I've already oredered a Rollie Sub ( like everybody seems to !) but th emore I get into it the more, brand and models out there is enormous. Use the "Links" tab at the top and then go "Dealer Sites" and have alook around in there. I bought my Rolex Submariner rep fro Chris at Euritimez but there are plenty more. here's another auction site that's a ripper: www.cqout.com/list.asp?seller=east%2Dartwork copy & paste that into your browser and check it out. Enjoy the ride like I'm doing and good luck Jim T
  10. Hi B16a2, I don't want to compromise, I'd like to go with your suggestion and go for the 4th gen in 42mm. I presume it's an ETA mevement ? I know all you "old hands" at this rep stuff get asked questions all the time by newies like me & I hate to askbut if you were me where would you start looking? I could really use a nudge best Jim T
  11. G'day again mars08, I just had a look at that CQout site and WOW! there's a ton of great stuff on there and reasonable prices. How's your PO with the Asian movent going, pretty faithful? D'ya think the ETA's are really worth the extra dough? I think one like yours might be the one. Thanks heaps for the tip.......much appreciated. Jim T
  12. Thank ck24, Beautiful pics. Is that a 4th Gen ?? 42mm The only ones I can find seem to be on Josh's site aand an Auction site Mars80 told me about. I'll deep digging and see what comes up. I'm kinda leaning to a S/S bracelet. cheers Jim T
  13. G'day back, thanks for getting back. You PO looks great! A CQOUT seller?? can you tell me more ?? cheers Jim T
  14. Have you thought about an SMP 2254.50 Black/black? I have a Gen and love it to death. Pictures for you Cheers & Beers Jim T

  16. Just ordered a NoobMariner from Chris and am looking forward to it and even though I have a Gen Seamaster 2254.50 Black/Black I just read MAHLERS post on the PO and I think it has to be my next buy. I don't have a big wrist and couldn't pull off wearing a 45mm. Can I still get a 42mm PO ?? Any thoughts appreciated Jim T
  17. Try Puretime - he has them there. They look good. I gave a genuine and it's a ptretty close look Here's my genuine good luck Jimmy T
  18. I'm the same Mahler, I have gen 2254.50 Seamaster (Pictured) but really love the Planet Ocean. Seeing as your so happy with it can I ask which seller you bought it from? It's going to be my next Rep. cheers & beers from Oz. Jimmy T
  19. Hi Omega Guys, I have a gen Seamaster 2254.50 (pictured) which I wear every day and love it.... and and old '62 Omega something ?? (also pictured) that my uncle left to me.Has a sub-second hand at 6.00. It's the old 25 year Gold watch thing presented to him in '62.Has the ensciption on the back of the case. Still keeps fabulous time. Would love to know what it is. Any clues as to a Model or anything ? Any info really appreciated cheers from Australia Jimmy T
  20. Thanks there Shundi, I ended up going with Chris at Eurotimez and yesterday ordered a Black/Black S.S. NoobMariner with ETA movement as my first buy. A lot of you guys here on the forum said he was a safe bet and the feedback all seems good. I've been dealing with Fiona there - I think someone said Chris is travelling, back yesterday. They answered all my emails almost immediately and simply made me feel comfortable. I'm in Melbourne Australia and have a gen Omeaga Seamaster 2254,50 and a Tag Link series but this rep thing seems like a whole lot of fun thanks to you guys who welcome us newbies with open arms and don't mind sharing your collective knowledge base. thanks again, Cheers & Beers from Oz Jim (Jimmy T)
  21. Hi there Finland, I've only been here for about a week and thers a lot of really good guys on here with a ton of knowledge who helped me out with my first buy. They have a wealth experience. I found a good start was to click on "Links" at the top and then click "Dealers sites". good luck Jimmy T
  22. Thanks Cats, I only ordered it todayfrom Chris at Eurotimes and they say around 7 days or so with EMS shipping. I'll post some pics when it arrives here. I'm in Melbourne Australia. It's my first Rep buy. I have a couple of Gens - (Omega Seamaster 2254.50Pics attached) and Tag Link series but this rep thing looks like a lot of fun. You guys have been great with your advice etc. Anyway watch this space for the pics Cheers & beers Jim (Jimmy T)
  23. Well gang after a few days drifting around in here, inhaling all your knowledge I've finally pulled the trigger on a NoobMariner from Chris at Eurotimez. He and Fiona were really helpful and sent me lts of pics and stuff and as firs buy I feel comfortable with the buy. Cant wait 'till it arrives here in Melbourne Oz. Cheers & Beers all, Thanks for all your guidance and advice. I think I've got the "Bug" Jimmy T
  24. Thanks Tom, really appreciate the advice. I've been looking at Chris' Euromariners and am pretty keen on them and EuroTimez doesn't seem to have much negative feedback. Maybe it's just me but am I asking stupid questions or somthing.....you're the only one to reply to my post. Is it 'cos I'm new? or am I just looking like a dumbo on all this stuff. Any thoughts
