I immediately thought of RWG when I saw this. Who here hasn't obsessively tracked where that PAM or IWC was?

I've always been buying under the premise that the I, as the buyer, assume all risks, especially if there is no agreement made in advance of the sale. I would chalk it up to experience and remember to chip in a little extra for shipping with tracking next time.

I have learned quickly that this is not an instant gratification hobby: Researching and searching, reading hundreds of posts for every one you make, ordering and then waiting patiently for international shipping, waiting in long lines for quality mods to be done. Patience is a necessary virtue in this "sport".

I suppose if you're unhappy with the lume and AR you can always get it modded along with adding in those Swiss datewheels, but it looks pretty darn good to me without these

All are very nice and classy dress watches, but I would stay away from the Lange. The first thing a watch lover would ask for is seeing the back of the Lange....

Forget the caseback, there unfortunately aren't any Lange reps out there which look like a gen Lange even from the front. The rep Lange Chronos for example have the complications in the wrong places (at the 3 and 9 instead of 2 and 8, etc.), mostly because the complex custom movements A. Lange & S

Yet another newbie here seeking information, and hopefully not loaded with too many ridiculous, obnoxious questions. As is the newbie's duty, I promise to read a lot, search first and post intelligently.

I'm a public relations and communications professional from upstate New York, working for a non-profit organization. I enjoy the finer things in life and also enjoy looking sharp. I'd like to expand my wardrobe in the next 12 months, and add in some additional bespoke clothing. Naturally, I'm going to need some watches to accompany the new threads - but genuines would well price me out of reach with my non-profit salary.
