  1. I must also say Euro's V5 is the one to go for after seeing all the pcitures and review by gio. Now saving up my pocket to go for one.

Interetsing enough, one my office colleague just bought a gen. DSSD and is waving his hand around petending not to with intention to show it off. This really got my teeth crunching hard, what an a**hole. Wonder it would be fun when I have the V5 DSSD on wrist to make direct hit with his.

I would be careful, a gen is a gen ..do you really want to be called out wearing a fake..you may come off worse ..

  2. Great news!! Does anyone know if they will also service reps? I have a Datejust rep which I imagine needs servicing as it gains about 2 mins per day & only has about 2 hours reserve.

Doubt it, this guy serviced mine http://www.michaelallenwatchmaker.co.uk/

Based in BHM not far from me so I called him and dropped it off myself.

Will deal via post I believe.

I had V3 DSSD fully serviced, he had to change one of the gears as it had 2 teeth missing,

    (Swiss eta) cost me -

  3. Amazing pics.

Looking at the closeups and comparing to my V3, the main differences I can see are the date window bevel, and the pearl seems smaller on the gen it fits inside the triangle rather than touching the edges like mine.

Plus larger bezel etching font and even lume....still love my rep though !!!

  4. Great news I live a mile from one..

My friend has a gen Breitling, one of the older ones with digital display built in, he got fed up with sending it off via our ad for it's battery change and costing himself a fortune.

He took it in to Timpson they changed the battery and pressure tested it no problem. Funny thing is when he sent it off to be serviced through our local ad it came back with scratch marks from being opened, when Timpsons did it no such problem.

  5. Hi All,

Had my asian eta SOH from EURO for 4 months now still looks awesome !!

When I recieved it it was gaining 3 secs a day, but the last month it has started to lose 5 secs a day.

Seems to lose time mainly overnight, it sits on a desk not on a winder.

Just wondered if this is normal for gains/losses to change like this.

  6. No way. Mine from trusty is perfect. packed great.

but I love it. Big but sits great on the wrist. Can be dressed up or down. Can't go wrong with it.

First rep I was skeptical bought mine from Chris @ Euro as I'm UK, window shopping at my AD it's pretty much perfect .. and keeps time to about +3 a day ..

OC is the way to go

  7. I have the same exact problem with mine....and been doing the The Zigmeisterfied fix! Seems to be working. Be patient! If it gets any worse, send it back!

The Zigmeister HikeUSA thanks for the tip guys this seems to do the trick..The Zigmeister just wondering if this will cause any damage

    Feeling better now though. :)

On a side note the watch repair shop I went into happened to see a lot of gen Breitling and often sent them off for repair and service..

The lady had a look at my watch and within about 5 secs said are you aware this is not real I just replied yes of course and she was fine.

I asked what made it so easy to identify it was fake and she said it was when she looked at the the back..which surprised me.

She went on to say she dealt with tons of gens and this was an excellent copy weight was spot on and that it was a really nice watch in it's own right.

She then tried to sell me a box to turn the watch at night..I pointed out the box cost more than the watch lol. :D

  8. My first guess is that the stem is too short, so instead of the keyless works switching from the date setting second position to the winding one (first position) when you press the crown in, it stays in the dateset position, and when you screw it down, it switches the date over.

My second guess is that the spring in the crown is too weak and not allowing the keyless works to switch over to the winding position.

The simple solution is to set the date to one day early, then screw the crown down and it will switch over to today's date, and then wear the watch, since it's an automatic, you would only have to reset the date once every couple of months...

    RG

Many thanks for the info The Zigmeister, problem is the date will skip forward a few days and a different amount each time..

It worked fine the first couple of times I tried to set it, but when I try to adjust the time now I keep getting this problem.

I have tried a couple of watchsmiths but they say they are unable to take a look as it is a rep :(

One of them did suggest it was a problem with the return spring if that makes sense.

Bit stuck now really, and a little dissapointed as it the first rep I have bought and I went for the expensive model thinking it would be the best...

  9. Hi all,

Take it no one can help .. :(

I have ,mailed Chris @ eurotimez to see if he will repair or replace as the problem is so bad now I cannot set the date correctly at all.

I only received the watch a couple of weeks back so I fingers crossed something wil be sorted.

  10. Hi all,

Hope I posting in the right place !

Was hoping someone can help with my date set.

I have a soh with asian eta. Whenever I set the time I then push the crown in once and set the date, problem is I then try to push the crown in again and I hear a click, but when i try to screw crown down the date moves again before it is fully screwed in.

    Any ideas ??

    TIA

  11. Yes, thanks. I am still hesitating between the Skyland and your watch (the SOH non chrono)....

What colour is yours? Could you post some pics? The AR would really interest me! SO if you can please post reflectionless pics and some, where the blue tint is visible.

    I'd appreciate it!

    Thanks!

I'll give it a go tomo, bit dark here for photos at the minute.

I have the black 46mm on black rubber, I have tried the gen on a couple of times in my local dealer and

    this rep really is amazing.

  12. 5 secs are fine IMO. Is it ETA or copy ETA?

Not entirely sure bit new to all this  It's the ultimate version from Chris @ eurotimez

thinks it's an Asian ETA whatver that means ;)

Quick note to all please don't think I'm complaining, I'm absolutely blown away with the quality of this watch, I'm only asking out of of interest.
