Hi.I currently have a gen calibre 79320, but with rep hands. The chrono seconds hand has slipped a couple seconds to the left and its bugging the **** out of me. my watch guy told me when he assembled the watch about 3 years ago that this might happen as he was having problems crimping it to fit as the metal was pretty weak. anyone know where gen hand set can be sourced? or have a spare one(!? kinda longshot i know.)would be much grateful

it is a Seiko domestic market model ref. sarb029. keep an eye on wus or other gen foras as they sometimes pop up in FS posts there.

dropping 6k on a rep isnt a good idea on your first venture into the hobby... just my cents, but you have to consider; who is going to service it down the road. you cant just take it to a rolex service center.

just wish they'd gone with a different brand name.. "seven friday" just sounds a bit off to me. imho much better watches to be had for the price

I have enjoyed reading hikes posts for many years, and i too believe he is a stand up guy. his offer for a full refund proves that. I also see that the community often is harsh with a newer members raising questions about deals with older members, and more often than not is that harsh respons to the newbie warranted. In this case i feel that the OP proposed the facts quite good - gave both a good description of what was the issue, and how it was proposed remedied - with a humble attitude. sometimes i like to take a step back and turn the situation around, what would be the forum consensus if the senior member was to receive "this case" from a junior member.. side note, regardless of stated in this case or not: MD2020 ; "been worn twice" does not imply that its in great shape! ??.. come on man, thats horse manure!

please note that the portuguese uses a movement that has been modified from the original seconds running at 9 to seconds running at 6 (subdials) this makes the movement under go extra strain and your mileage on theese might vary a lot.. your best bet is to stay with a watch having the seconds running at 9, as that is what the original movement was designed to do. And please consider that any rep watch that you get might need service.

i stand corrected. havent changed the glass since 3gs.. so very un-user friendly of apple to do that :S ...

is the LCD-screen also broken? -> if its only the front glass, it can be had (unoriginal) at 10$ on ebay, and it really is a 3minute job.. just the two screws on the bottom of the phone, and 3 wires (and a couple of screws to connect the lcdscreen to the outer glass) really simple and ifixit.com / youtube.com could teach you in a second my ex gf broke her iphone 3 screen 4times, and i replaced it with fully working chineese rep parts from the bay worked like a charm back then..

i agree. and if we take a reality check, such a small percentage of the population would know that it was a rep even if they were holding it in their own hands.. so more open casebacks for me! and my GF really loves them
