  1. yeah Chad, the 46mm Super Ocean Heritage with eta movement won the "as is from the factory" waterproof test, and it's dead on accurate, though knowing you, it may not be your taste. Honestly get the corrected dial Super Avenger Chrono or save your pennies until the ultimate Deep Sea Seadweller comes out. Doubt my wisdom, you must not, mmmm.

Where can I see pics of the Deep Sea Seadweller, and when will it be out?

I think that would be fun.

  2. The Navi case isn't bad at all. The caseback is off however, but nobody sees that. Unfortunately, the fighters edition is the only 6-9-12 version available in all SS, and the caseback would be wrong if you were going to mod it to a Navi II. The TT version is probably a better starting point. Grab a gen dial, proper datewheel, and have the crystal AR'd and you'd be set.

    Cool... thanks for the info.

  3. Finding a genuine case set will be no easy task.

My advice would be to buy the rep, and go for the modded route rather than full franken.

Double AR and a good datewheel will do wonders for the rep.

yeah, but I'm just not that impressed with the Navi rep.

Dont get me wrong, it's a really great watch, but it's not "fool someone behind the counter" close, like the SOSF does.

I may just find a used one missing the bracelet, and put one of mine on.

  4. why not wear and enjoy the one you just bought? i know its an addictive hobby, but its worth nothing if you dont fully apperciate and enjoy the "bird in the hand"

    Yes, good point.

However I'm looking at this as a bit of a savings account.

Save up half a dozen reps, then sell here to my brothers of the wrist bling for enough to buy authentic.

I'll probably always have the SFSO, I have it on right now.

    This thing is amazing.

  5. Hey guys..

I'm looking for an authentic Navitimer case/bezel and Val 7750 movement.

Is this something easy to find, I'd like to put my good black leather strap w/friction clasp on it so a black face w/white dial would be ideal.

    Thanks!

  6. I'm a friend of Tenacious_B's here in Austin.

Both the GMT and SFSO that I wear are from him, and before then I purchased a Navi from Andrew and cant believe I didnt get into this years ago.

I'm a licensed pilot, so generally I have a weakness for pilot watches... however I also shoot competitively, play guitar, and my real weakness is cars. I've had too many to list here and hope to have a Z4 M-roadster by Thanksgiving.

I look forward learning and expanding my hobby, in hopes to save enough reps up to sell and get into an authentic Rolex GMT.

    Have a nice day,
