  1. Maldo: For your tourby you need Homer. homagewatch.com or somthing like it (anyone?). He has a good range of the unbranded Millionsmart tourbys and provides complete ASS and parts backup for them. About 550USD from memory. Pics Here Col.
  2. Yep, nothing wrong there. Prob the best source of cheapies out there if you don't have a "personal" dealer (ie: a one (wo)man band in GZ) Shipping can take a little longer. Service is usualy good. Col.
  3. Capice you have my condolences. Three weeks ago I lost my own mother after a long illness so I know what your going thru my friend. It gets beter, slowley. Kind regards, Col.
  4. The c280 is a nice enough car though personaly I would go for a 328/330i BMW. They seem to have more "feel" and are more of a drivers car than the Benz IMO. Saabs are for Saab people. If you were suited to a Saab it would be the only car on this list. Lexus resale values (here, at least) are exelent and should offer a good return come trade in time. They build some of the best to come out of Japan as well. Very nearly the equal of the Germans in quality and handling now. How about a four or five year old M3? You should pick up a decent low milage example in that price range. Sort of an Evo with class. Should hold its remaining value if taken care of. A couple of the newer Alfas are quite nice too and doesn't the S class Jag come with a 3lt V6? There's a cpl of Hondas worth your intrest as well. So many choices . . . Col.
  5. We need Jameo, he allways kept Oscar to heel. Col. EDIT: Maybe this will draw him in. "Jameo! Come on lille fella, veges to play in!"
  6. Watch factories, yes. Rep factories no of cause not. The book preports to be a listing of CN watch factories not just rep makers. I would think that a lot of listings would be parts makers. Most "Factories" buy in stuff like dials, hands ect and MVTs of cause. I understand there are plants makeing nothing but casebacks. Just sounds like an interesting reference work. If its all it claims to be. Anyone got a spare 60bucks to find out? You could allways scan it and sell "reps" :-) Col.
  7. Um, 30 pieces is usualy closer and my intrest was mainly in having the list. Col.
  8. This claims to be a listing of over 900 factories. HERE Col.
  9. Hey Zig, glad your enjoying yourself. Did you remember to pack your "I am not American" Tshirts? ;-) Have fun. I hope to do a trip like that in a year or two but by canal boat rather then camper. Col.
  10. ROFL "We would like to apoligise to ITV, our production company and most of all the kiddies for this regretfull lapse of judgement and assure all that it will not happen again." Col.
  11. And the "sharp eyes" and "photos can lie awards this mth go to . . . AK! MG: All your base belong to Alpha mate. Col.
  12. Oh dear, Zenith. A speeling course in engrish may be in order me thinks. Imagine the number of times you would be called out? You would have to carry the recipt in your wallet! Ugly anyway. Col.
  13. Atta the one! Col. Edit: It's growing on me. What's the gen worth? Just so I know how many zeros I can't afford it by.
  14. No, from what I hear he realy IS that good. Col.
  15. Not shure about a Navi but I have a Noob that has been an everyday beater for near eight months now. Yesterday I wore it while useing that hand to hold a block of 2x4 to one side of some 4mil plate while beating on the other side with a short handeled sledge. I have worn it chainsawing, spliting wood, while useing hammer drills ect even trailbike rideing and fullbore shooting. I can't break it. Somehow i don't know if a Navi would stand up. When I break this one I may get a 7750 and have a go but rest assured, there tougher than you think. Col.
  16. Didn't we decide that the ultimate star wars watch was the one with the tourby hung off the side looking for all the world like a small nuclear reactor? " Luke, I am Your far . . . Nice watch son!" Can't rember the brand and cant use the link I have due to a slight lack of RWG1. Col.
  17. Agree 100% about quartz in a mechanical watch. I will never buy a faux chrono watch either but there are many good reps of quartz watches from Tag, IWC, Seiko, Citizen ect for under a 100 bucks. Tag have quite a few nice watches that are quartz in the gen and Citizen have a lovely piolets watch reminisent of the Navitimer while Seiko of cause have many top shelf pieces worth collecting in rep form almost all of these can be had for under a hundred bucks and are remarkably close to the gen. In quite a few cases the MVT is the same as the gen. To browse whats available go to watches-brand.com and have a looky. There's thousands of them. Find one you like and get a quote from one of our guys, pref somone based at GZ market. The price should be half to a third of the WB price. Cheapies are gooooood! 'specialy ATM. Col.
  18. The one thing that worries me is that we havn't heard from JB yet. One would thing he would have droped in by now. Hasn't been spoted at the Dark Side either. Col.
  19. Hey John, think you'll find thats a single red my friend. Col.
  20. Swiss MVT in the VC? Or maybe just propperly lubed at factory. Col.
  21. You guys don't know Cat Weasel? Your loss. Col.
  22. Now thats not bad at all. Col.
  23. Hmmm, bad. I shure VDB is appaled at the misuse of his work and if it was indeed a forum member the mads have some thinking to do. Its their place to judge not mine but IMO a person who would bring the hobby into disrepute in such a monner neither belongs nor deserves to be here. Regards, Col.
  24. John is rarely wrong. However if customs do have your watch and decide your this weeks "example" well, watch out for flat black Hueys with ropeing bags in the doors. There coming for you man! Col.
  25. Nice Oscar. The slowest seting that keeps your watches wound. It will vary from MVT to MVT. Native 21Js and ETAs should be happy on 650, watches with complications like GMT hands or moon phase take a little more and may need 850 while the 1000 is for those who sunscribe to the therey that chronos should be left to run. Col.
