  1. I like the 'delete my vote' option. That's the one facet of Democracy the US is missing. Hey, is it too late to pencil in 'Highflyingclive' for 'Crusty 'Ole Vet' ? Not that I'd vote for him, I just miss humiliating him.
  2. Hating it for you Dani. You are right, Asim is a nice guy but that is aside the whole issue. Now. Hope you get a good resolution. There are many here with you in the same boat. It's a shame.
  3. That's exactly what I was thinking! These pics look like the Baum-Mercier ads on the pages of The Wall Street Journal or the Times composition, but you are absolutely right. You notice the designer's 'intent' beyond the marketing department's 'hook'. These are cool Ubi. Maybe the next 'new' thing in a wrist shot?
  4. I was always afraid of the Chronofighter in all it's incarnations. If you trip up while wearing this watch and you fall on it? It will beat the hell out of you. Careful hack. Yes, wrist shot please.
  5. Do you not have this in your upper right hand corner of the page Brad? If not, it may be due to the browser you are using after an RWG update. Go to the drop down menu bottom left corner of the page; and click on the 'Clean Cut' option. That version may gain you the 'Search' box..........
  6. Would this be an appropriate time to discuss the fact Iran recently seized an Iraqi oil field? I think that flows with the ebb. <edit> I love your new signature D. It captures a point in time, in my mind's eye, on and off of my driveway, when I had had enough of a rather cantankerous Daytona 116520 seconds @ 6. Pretty ashamed of the behavior, but God it felt good.
  7. Raman? I used to live on Lipton's Cup O' Soup prepared in a hot pot in college. But, living in Florida a sea food dinner was only a cast, and a wade away. One particular day, my roommate and I ate flounder, shrimp and blue crab all caught off the apartment complex dock.
  8. Naw P4, it's not what I was drinking, it was what I was eating. I'm filled up to ^^^^^^here^^^^^^^ with [censored] and Moan About Donation Pie with Debate the Issue to Death Sauce. Is where I saw this thread going aside 'Anguz' 's kind gesture. Boring. At least one member of the Admin. thought so too. In those other threads. But you're right, none of my biz. I was over thinking the whole situation and I'm sorry I piped up here altogether. If a 76 post noob wants to stick his neck out of a moving train entering a tight tunnel following an established member's lead? Blood, gutz, and brains all over the board makes for good holiday reading. I guess.
  9. Not really a 'thing' Anguz it's just that the gesture is rife for signals getting crossed. I'm sure you're aware of the fact 'lanikai' extended the same kind offer and it purdy much blew up in his face in the vain of "No good deed goes unpunished............." Just to play Devil's advocate here, just suppose; A noob registers and sees your offer. He makes the donation, and you send him the parts. What if; They get lost in the post. Are you going to refund his donation? What if he donated 100usd? He gets the parts and he deems them crap. He can't use them. He doesn't feel they are worth his donation. He sends them back to you and ranks on the Admin. He wants his donation back and calls RWG a scam site. Singles you out as a scammer. Some member from another board has too many cocktails and starts a thread; "Yeah sure, RWG. The site of 'brotherly love and community'. As long as you break out the check book and line the Admin's pockets. I run a website on tropical fish. I run that site with all the bandwidth in cyber space on $15 a month. Somebody's getting rich here. " Sounds far fetched but it can and partially has happened recently. RWG, just being RWG is it's best advocate for support. In the proactive sector there are two or three heavyweight members who've taken on the task on behalf of but aside any cue from the Admin. They are beyond reproach in character. Even they are targets for detractors and trolls. I have seen where a member has taken it upon himself to paste 'lanikai' 's signature banner on his own account. That banner itself has drawn ire with regard. I'm sure no one, including 'lanikai' would object if you adopted it as well. I would imagine that's about how far you'd want to stick your neck out 'proactively' for the cause for monetary support. If the situation gets dire the Admin. will take make an announcement. As I said before, just extend the kind gesture to the greater membership with availability of your parts with no strings. Setting that as example of 'how RWG'ers do it' will shape and set the stage for member support. I could only hope.
  10. Considering the fall out of the last deal of this type it's no surprise. It would be as if Jeb Bush were campaigning for '12 on an "I'm going to gather enough intel to win Congressional vote to overthrow the Syrian Regime and instill democracy there. They probabaly have weapons of mass destruction. I would imagine." platform. 'Anguz' just send your parts pro bono to anyone who wants them. That's all you would have to do to prove your solidarity to RWG. It is a nice gesture, and the donations would take care of themselves. Cheers!
  11. Two bulls are looking down into a valley at a herd of cows. The young bull says, "Why don't we run down there and bang one of those cows?" The older bull says, "Why don't we walk down there and bang them all?" It's thinking like that which allows you to bench 150 with your brain. And drive a Porsche around Maui. Not on vacation mind you, just going down town for more cocktail onions. And ice. It comes with age.
  12. Pity, it's going to be a great piece when you sort out the dial. I know much is said about the 'impatience of the wait' but oft times, for me, the wait is the best part. I enjoy having something to look forward to. Congrats.
  13. As my ETA fleet are coming of age and in need of service, I'm starting to envy the owners of 'quartz'. Nice watch b1.
  14. 'lanikai' for the under 60 category, 'Omni' for the over, but can still get it up category, and there isn't enough bandwidth here to follow that +1 thing you guys do with zeros.................. Prize? All expense paid trip to the Hawaiian chain. Don't forget your keys when you walk outside to collect.
  15. Shoot, people go to war wearing Casios. If I never found 'replica' I'd prolly be wearing this watch. Hell, by the end of '09 I just may be. My bud just finished retrofitting a new wheel house on his commercial boat. I could use a good back-up for the digital comp diver chronograph. This may be it. Good find P4!
  16. The watch is obviously evil. Lock it in the Ark of the Covenant and let Al-Qaeda find it at some later date. Or, get a blow torch, ball peen hammer, Paul Bunyan style double edged felling axe, a Land Rover and get to work.
  17. Is that your back yard Gunnar? What village is that down there? Whoville?
  18. Print out his text and hold it up to a mirror. A lot of his posts are actually mirror image Greek pastry recipes.
  19. Moissanite? Are there any reps with moissanite? Custom? Think of the possibilities Jody. What a coup that would be. Expensive tho'.
  20. OK now I'm composing a PM to 'AllergyDoc' and I am going to send it. I don't have any problem with Doc's original premise. If he has the links to the specifics I would like to examine them. I would like to think I pay attention here, but perhaps not enough. I just don't see the purported elitism that is the impetus of Doc's OP. But the fall out has been absolutely ridiculous. Let me get this straight, there are now no less than three separate threads with regard? Me thinks we all doth protest too much. Page after page of folk not so much trying to prove to Doc we are awesome, as much as page after page trying to convince ourselves we are. It's all pretty [censored] stupid. Entertaining the notion to this extent is a waste. Somewhere there is a noob left hanging because of it. I'm not so sure what I would make of all this if I registered yesterday and came across it looking for the best Sub. I'd probably just get George's email addy, my WM9 and scoot.
  21. I just noticed from your profile you live in Singapore. Pity. If you lived in US then you could just rationalize spending money on 'replica' and not 'food' as good social conscience.
  22. Only if you're spending your mortgage or children's college funds. Food? Who needs food?
