  1. Hi guys

I have been away from this Forum for so long - probably because I was so content with my bk wm9 16610 that has just worked like a charm.

But now I guess I did something wrong. I wanted to set the date and clock the other day and suddenly the entire crown came off.

Does anyone know someone in the EU who could help with a fix? Some years ago I had it serviced by dmuit/Domenico (dunno if he is active here). I also posted over at repgeek.

thanks in advance for any advice:)

I also realize that rwg supporters earn more credibility but I have been away for so Long that I don’t know where to send my support donations…there are broken links where I am looking

  2. Hi,

Been a long time since I posted here after I received my Bk TW Best.

I sent it off for a lump job, and it came back with nice tritec lume on dial and hands.

But the pearl on the insert was not re-lumed and that bothers me ;). Furthermorethe insert fell off minutes after I received it back. I was told that I could just click it back in - but that didn't work (it won't click in!)

So gave it some daps of nail varnish, but that only lasts for a couple of weeks and then the inserts falls out again. I've also tried with silicone glue, which lasts a bit long - but same story in the end.

Now I'm wondering if the insert has been slightly bended since it won't click in, or what do you see could be the problem?

Should I consider this as a chance/oppertunity to get a hold of a gen insert, in which case which insert should I buy (I can't really figure out any of the models out there), and will it click in?

    Any advice would be appreciated

    /Korn

  3. Hi

I'm just wondering if it does anything to the movement/gears when you rewind your watch either with the lever closed or open?

It always bugs me that I have to hold the Crown to avoid it spinning the opposite way each time I'm rewinding - which is why i rewind it with the over in closed position.

    Any thougts/advice?

  4. BK is offering the TW best Sub now, which if I'm not mistaken is the same watch as the PureTime WM9 v1.

    Hey

    thanks for all the replies.

I don't see bk offering the tw sub yet - it's only been announced in his forum to replace the wm9 - or am I missing something.

I think I'll take a chance on the wm9 v1 from Precious Time - if he still has it.

  5. Hi All

After walking around a whole day at the job I suddenly see that the minute hand has fallen off on my pam 177.

Do you guys know if this is an easy/difficult fix that I can do by my self.

Do you know if special tools are needed besides mini screwdriver and a pair of tweezers?

Any advise would be highly appreciated :o)

  6. Hi all, I have a question regarding the reliability of this movement.

Indeed, my watch is so beautiful I want to wear it everyday but the fact that's a asian movement inside worries me...

I wonder, are the Asian 6497 reliable? Can we wear the watch with Asian 6497 every day?

And I would like to know the frequency for servicing the watch?

We can find Swiss ETA 6497 for 100

  7. ...hmmm funny thing happened.

I dropped the watch on the floor, and suddenly started ticking again. I noticed when I tried shaking it , the rotor wouldn't move. So the only thing that worked was winding it.

That worked for at couple of days, and I was happy again. But just yesterday, I heard that the rotor started to rotate upon shaking the watch, and I thought that I had a fully functional watch again...BUT NO!

The watch stopped again (probably due to a used power reserve), and it did not start again no matter how much the rotor rotated! I tried winding the watch and noticed that I could wind forever without anything happening.

...Seems like something brok inside the watch or is this commonly seen with the A7750.

Do you know if it's fixable?

    Thx

  8. Don't get me wrong; V1 is not perfect by any means. But with some work and gen parts, it's a great watch!

    :)

wauwww...that looks awesome.....although I'm pretty bad at calling out Rollie reps :) (as I said I used to be a pannie-man...until I discovered I had small wrists and the pam 047 rep was unavailable ;oD)

  9. Hi,

Thought I'd stay with the Pannies, but somehow a rollie just seems so appealing.

Being a complete rollie noob, I've narrowed it down to a 16610, but I don't know which to choose.

The WM9 v1 is for sale at 2/3 of the price of a WM9 v3 (bk), but should I put in the extra amount of money for the v3?

I'm a bit discouraged of the 2836-2 movement after reading The Zigmeister's review at: http://www.rwgforum.com/topic/78321-gmt-eta-2836-2-modified-movement-not-recommended/

...and I'm curious to know the expected lifetime from other wm9 v1 owners.

If I was to order the v3, is it then a Gen 2824-2 movement and is the lume "gen-like"?

In essence, I just want a stable 16610 gen-looking. So if the v1 provides that, I'm thinking that I should save the money?

    What's your oppinion....thx

  10. Hi there...

the lady is gettin' into Tags - especially the the link (with diamonds) and the carrera (with diamonds of course).

So how good is the link rep that I know Josh is selling, and does anyone know anything about the 2824-2 movement with regards to quality and precision?

Does anyone know if the carrera lady model is rep'ed?

    thanks

    /korn
