Hello,

During a fix for my Omega Planet Ocean, I was removed the crown pin to access the movement. During re-assembly I pushed the release mechanism botton too hard and it shot through the movement. The botton is not visible and is probably near the bottom of the movement. How can I fix this?

I have read this thread, but it is easier seen than to fix.

Has anyone else had luck fixing the release crown pin mechaism without the removal of the hand set and dial? I am unable to remove the hand set to begin with. Maybe I am just a newbie?

At this point the crown pin does not lock into place and therefore, I cannot set the time and date.

Is there an easier fix to this?

I have more misery to add to my Breitling Superocean Heritage Chrono that I bought less than 8 weeks ago. Since I've had it, it had less than 2 weeks of wrist time and ever since, I've had problems one after another. First it was a hour hand slip that led to the date change at 7:00. I managed to fix the problem myself by disassembling the entire watch and manually move the hour hand back into place.

A day later, the botton to my deployant clasp popped out and cannot be fitted back into to place.

Now, the movement has stopped entirely and I don't know what to do about it anymore. I've turned the crown to wind the watch, but there is no sign of life. However, when I cuase the rotor to turn, 1-2 seconds on the sub dial will move, but no more.

It is just not maintaining a beat anymore.

What has gone wrong with the movement? How can I fix it?

Now that we have concluded what the problem is, should this get sent back to the dealer for a fix?

Dealer says they warrenty 1 year.

The hand stack looks okay. The reason for the date change at 7 as opposed to 12 is that the hour hand might have slipped on the post. This could have happend for a numerous of reasons (bump, bad hand tube, not enough friction etc.). This would also explain the watch running behind 4 hours all of a sudden ... The only solution is to uncase the movement, remove the hands and correctly reinstall them.

This makes perfect sense. I have a feeling that is a matter of a hand slip. There is not enough friction on the hand tube to turn this particular hand. Perhaps, the actual time fell behind 5 hours.

But even after getting it realigned and installed again, what are the chances that this will re-occur again in the future? How does one apply more friction on the tube? More lubrication?

This particular watch seems to be much more delicate than the rest; almost too delicate if this can happen while the watch was NOT in use.

7 weeks is a rather short amount of time but seeing how these hands have dislodged themselves, a watch smith could put them back correctly ... i'd contact the dealer first & aim for a working replacement though

Yes, 7 weeks is practically brand new. It has gotten at most 2 weeks of wear time since I got it. How would the hour hand dislodge and date change be of a problem simultaneously?

Did something go wrong with the movement itself? The second operation seems to run fine.

I have contacted the dealer. We will have to wait and see what happens.

I have been wearing my Breitling Superocean Hertiage Chrono Rep for about 7 weeks now and the watch has been running fine. Today, I wore it again for about half a day and I let it sit in my watch box. I went back to discover that my watch lost a considerably amount of time after having just wore the watch for half a day. Now, the hour mark does not even line up to the hour anymore.

For example, at 12:00, the hour mark is at the 58 minute while the minute hand is at 60 minutes.

What is wrong with my watch? How can I get it corrected and aligned again?

I have an order for the Breitling Super Ocean Heritage Chrono with tswisswatches.com and with the advertised price of $339USD including shipping cost is showing up as $404CND ( I am from Canada) for the watch. I don't understand how there is a differences of 19% exchange rate for this and I can only assume there is some kind of hidden cost behind this. This seems very high for the cost of this swiss watch replica, but I know there are variations with many different dealers. Some dealers can vary as much as much as $100USD give or take for the exact same rep. I feel that I am over paying for this rep, but I am not complaining until I see the final product. We will have to wait and see.

Does anyone have any experience with paying for a watch at the similar price and got exactly what they expected?

Also, how much are most people here spending on a quality rep with a good movement and overall finish?
