  1. Yeah, the green crystal is a looker that's for sure....there's been mods where folks have used ink/paint (can't remember) on a clear Clarks crystal around the edge and stuff like that, but I'm not too sure how gen that looks in real life - the best mod I've seen, but hardest due to the rarity of the crystal, is a gen gv crystal :)

Good to hear the sub wasn't too bad ;)

I have the clear crystal milgauss, and I like it ;)

Haven't really looked into the pro-hunters so can't comment there...

  2. Welcome! Bugger about your sub, hope its fixed/fixable.... On to the GV. Unless I've missed something, you're right, the crystal is still 'not right' compared to gen, the black dial w/clear crystal version is considered the closest I believe.....

  3. Good advice Mike....

Perhaps you or others can comment on whether there is a discernible difference between Trusty Time or Pure Time? (Both companies seem to get stellar reviews.)

Specifically regarding the Milgauss Pro Hunter... I'm curious if anyone has thoughts on the quality of the GREEN SAPPHIRE with GREEN EDGING. Is it a dead giveaway?

I've just discovered that this is actually a hobby... I had no idea until I stumbled on this site today. I have a few Gen watches and will likely not go down that road again.

Welcome...While i can't comment on the Pro Hunter version/s, i have just recently rec'd the black dial, clear crystal version (asia eta) from Andrew at TrustyTime… extremely happy with both watch and Andrew / Trusty Time :)

  4. But TeeJay- Back in 2011 you said............(read my signature)

And on that one we agree. The reason noobs become experienced is by doing their own due diligence, not bringing bloody QC pics onto the forum and getting others to do the work for them!

I actually hate QC pics, because it is something that leaves the door wide open to lazy dealers supplying any old photo.

There is no way you can be sure you get the watch in the photo, short of having your name engraved onto the dial.

In the replica business it is a too simple job to swap any item in or out, to suit any purpose..

i agree with all you've said, and they look a-ok to me, but you know a second opinion from more experienced folks than yourself never hurts, and you can learn more for next time too ;)

  5. Ahahahahahaha, what a [censored] pussy to tell you not to post the pictures  Did he threaten that it might 'harm your relationship' if you did? (I've heard some dealers threatening that in the past...) And people wonder why I distrust the trusted dealers :bangin: I'm sure your transaction will go smoothly, enjoy the piece :good::drinks:

No no, it was just random in his email signature thingos...being new, not wanting to step on toes etc etc....no biggie. All is good, all appears fine to me, and was just after a second opinion is all - no harm no foul as they say... :)

  6. Finally, ordered some watches, very happy with how its all going, TD has been awesome! (And wouldn't have gotten this far without forums like RWG!)

So, all looks good to me, thought I'd turn to more knowledgeable folk than myself for a look-see before green lighting :)

...and got a cheeky J12mini for the lady too...am just confirming if its just grime/shadows etc on the crown...

    Thanks in advance.

  9. Welcome to RWG. When you get to the point of making the purchase, make sure to 'buy the seller and not the product' Ask all your questions and 'what if' to get those straigthened out sooner than later. Enjoy!

    Thanks :)

Have gone withe Andrew at trustytime - i've heard good things - as for the 'what if' and question?

will post QC pics once i get them, and go from there :)

  10. Welcome mate,

    It's a slipperly slope.

I have learnt the hard way. My advice, just get both.......

I can imagine, have already warned the missus!

Have already earmarked the next 5 hahaha

Yeah if you still have questions about the 2 watches I would make a post about each in their own forum as that way you will get replies from guys knowledgeable in each watch.

    Welcome to RWG :)

    Ken

    done and done, cheers :)
